EVOIII 16g dyno sheets?

I'll have to get back to you on that. I was only watching the timing curve with the pocketlogger while it was on the dyno. Doesn't the logger only see the lie the SAFC2 tells it?

Yep, your right. You can convert to roughly actual lbs/min by factoring in your correction percentage off the SAFC. I ran about 28 lbs/min max at 6400 rpm where my SAFC was at -21%. 28 x 1.21 = 33.88 lbs/min roughly on 93 pump gas ~18psi.

283hp & 288 lb/ft torque.

93 Octane Chevron gas. 21lbs at peak, falling to 19 by redline - no creep. Tuned for 11.2 A/F. ~65 degrees. Timing about 17 at redline. Mods in profile.

:D I admire your torque curve...or lack there of :D Its smooth all the way from 4000!! OMG Why does everybody else's spike and then drop like a double black diamond run? I'd like to know how to make a nice torque curve like that :thumb:

Thanks. The owner of the dyno said the same thing. He was impressed saying, "This is going to be a nasty little car with a torque curve like that." And this from a guy with a turbo Mustang with 600whp+, a Lightning powered Expedition, tweaked Porsche 944, a turbo Kawasaki, blah, blah blah, etc. etc. He doesn't know DSMs that well, but he's good with the S-AFC and it only took him about an hour to get it to look like that. I'm thinking that although other TD05H turbos can peak about the same, it is indicative of the EVOIII for such great delivery. It is a blast to drive.

351.1whp
375.2wtq
no porting on turbo just lots of boost
i've heard the evo viii 16g is slightly different, how i'm not sure, but this is what i made

Was that on race gas?

Also this is very disapointing to me. i thought there would be tons of people making over 300whp on the evo16g on pump. I was actually thinking around 330whp on pump. O well looks like i will be putting in an FPgreen end of this season or next.

i put down 295whp and 289.3tq on my evo3

Looks like people are going to have to work on the internals to get some good power with the EVOIII. I am very happy with my EVOIII but I have not had it dyno'ed yet I was waiting for warmer weather.

With DSMLink or cams, I probably could have.

I am going to do cams next. I was thinking that would put me into the 320-340 range. Everyone is so caught up with 272s, but I think they're overkill for this turbo. I haven't decided between straight 264's, or 264/272 combo. But when I do - I'll post another graph.

The 272/272 combo is working great on my car. I have a really good tune and a very very smooth power curve. The 272/272 combo is the largest I would ever go on this turbo. Without a tune or adjustment they can be considered lumpy or overkill. But I have no lumps in the idle and a very smooth ride.

Maybe so, but I think an Evo is going to outperform a similarly modded DSM anyway, so I can't quite relate to 272s on an EvoVIII B16G. That's where you laid down the 351/385 right? Was that on race gas?

Correct. I went 351/375 on 110octane.
I'm not exactly sure what the differences are in the turbos. But with the right tune I'm sure the evo III would be able to put up very similar numbers

I'm sure I'm well over 300whp on pump. I just don't race on pump. I've never dynoed my car, though, so I just don't know. And I keep my car pretty tame on the street (it is a daily driver) so I won't blow my transmission. I was thinking about dynoing last year, but the dyno day was cancelled, and I've lost interest in dynoing over the winter, it would seem. :) If I did dyno, I'd do it on race gas, anyway.

Come on man, you're like the EvoIII master, other then Slowboy. We've already seen what they can do with a built full race motor and expensive fuel. Give us everyday working stiffs something to look up to with a pump gas + Dsmlink + cams real world dyno. :D

I know this is off topic. What do you guys think I can make on Evo III @ 15 psi On stock Fuel Setup? I know I sound like a newb but I have raced some people on my car that claim that they have over 200whp and beat them by 1.5 car. Do you guys think I make over 200WHP?

:thumbdown Bench racing :thumbdown There are numerous dyno sheets to compare with, you're actually making it harder on yourself by doing it this way. So insted of making guesses, look at some of these dyno runs, there are many variables that make torque/HP curves the way they are. :|

Well i am going to get my car dyno tuned soon i will be posting numbers on my daily driver....hoping to hit 350 on pump..... :dsm:

I just made 244 whp 261 trq @ 17psi on pump.

dynoject acouple days ago on a small 16g on a heatsoaked stock smic and a restrictive exhaust system.

Its hard to say, but guys have made 200 whp on the t25 @ 16 psi so I would hope you are making more then 200 on the EVO since it flows alot more even at 15 psi.

Is anyone running the 264/272 combo w/ the EVOIII? Or is everyone 272/272 die hard? I would like to know with the 264/272 for my next 'up-grade'. :thumb:

I'm actually surprised by how low these numbers are...I was expecting to see more over 300 hp, rather than the 260-290 hp range. Please list your fuel mods and IC setup when the dyno run was done (we're assuming pump gas for these numbers?)
my question why did you expect more hp? all i can say is welcome to the real world of dyno! don't believe everything that you read in turbo magazine or on some vendor's website! welcome to the world of marketing which based around hype! the most you will get out of the evo 3 16g on a normal, "NORMAL" average street set up is about 260 to 315 to the wheels there might be a few here who have made more but on average 300ish is about it! if i am wrong then i stand to be corrected!

I would also like to know this. I thought of getting 264/272 if not the straight 264/264 combo. Whats your opinion?

What ignition timing are most of you guys running around the 300rwHP 19-20psi boost range with the EVOIII turbo?

Hey, here's an idea: don't bring back an old thread without a good reason. I see this thread pop up, I'm thinking, "oh, there must be a new dyno chart posted." Nope, just some assclown welcoming me to the "real world of the dyno" Sorry, I've never read turbo magazine, but I'm glad you do.

A turbo that has been logged flowing 42 lbs./min.+ should be making more than 300 whp consistently. Period. That's why I'm wondering why the numbers are so low. I suspect one reason is because some of these guys are AWD, and have posted dyno numbers before the drivetrain correction. I also suspect many of these people do not have full setups (fmic, fuel mods, proper tune, etc.) and are running pump gas on the dyno. From what has been reported so far, about half of these guys are making less, and about half are making more than 300whp. That's why I'm surprised. I was prepared to see more 320-350 whp dyno charts on a turbo that flows this much air and has gone 11s.

:nono: hey when you catch up with the other half just pm me okay smart @$$! :sneaky:
