ECLIPSE taillights letters [Merged 2-8]

The eclipse letters on the center peice between my tail lights are all chipped and faded. does anybody know were i could find these besides a dealership? (looooong drive to one) i tried to search dsm trader but i dont know what they are called.

a bit off topic but I remember back in the mini-trucking days my buddy had a Mighty Max that said "Mitsubishi" on the tailgate....anyhow, when he customized the truck and painted it he had certain letters painted the same as the body so his tailgate said..

Kinda' silly I guess, but since his truck was slammed soooooo low it could push a peanut down the road with the front bumber it kinda' made sense to others that rode stock height.

There is a font out there thats the same as the letters. I THINK it might be called "bitsumishi" But it could be the mitsu font, i dont remember. but i do remember i had the eclipse font, hey it might be called Eclipse, i wouldnt doubt it. try freefonts.com or something but good luck finding it.

They sell the letters precut to stick on in the E C L I P S E layout. I just cut, re arranged and measured mine.

Those are the ECLIPSE letters, just rearranged to spell SPEED (with the I and backwards C used to make the D).

Mach V does sell the ECLIPSE letters:

Your best bet would be to look for someone selling the rear center piece with the badging still on it. Then see if they'll sell you just the one letter. But other than that, you'd have to buy the whole set. But if yours isn't in great condition, it might be worth it.

Just remove the rest of the letters. Soap, water & fingernail worked well for me. Is Mitsiubishi paying you to advertise for them or do you go out of your way to do it for free...?

I thought about putting "SWIFT" on my center-piece, I would have to get the letters made.
But I like the ECLIPSE. The SPEED looks pretty slick though, good job.

I have my old one, just replaced from the one I bought at the junkyard. I'll have to mess with it, neat...

-Just wanted to add, the reason I replaced it is the guy I bought the car from had hand painted the letters with testers model paints or something.

Wrong. The Spyders use the same taillights as all the other 95-99 eclipses. They simply have "Spyder" underneath the passenger side taillight

From the factory, all Eclipse Spyders have "ECLIPSE" on the center tail and "Spyder" above the right reverse lamp.

All Eclipses, all years and all trims, had ECLIPSE on the center tail.

Not in Canada. the normal RS GS GS-T and GSX all do, but the Spyder's don't show the word "Eclipse" at all. They're marketed as the Mitsubishi Spyder as if it's not an Eclipse at all.
