Comp 6265 Turbo first impression video!

What gear did you start the pull in this video? It seemed like you were pinging the rev limiter at the end of the second shift. Those RPMs sure were running wild! I like it.

Okay fellas I finally got the jay racing 342 fuel pump installed so I upped the boost to 28psi E85 wow. Check out this vidoe.:D

It was kind of difficult to tell how you did the pulls exactly. I will say that it went from being calm on the home front to all out violent. :hellyeah:

Can you send me a short PM on your thoughts of the Jay Racing fuel pump and how easy it was to install? I am on the fence between it and another brand. Thanks.

LOL. Well what i did was down shift to 3rd from normal driving, got my camera set, and floored it around 4000 rpm. PM sent.

Holy crap that looks insane... its like a 60-110 instant pull!!! I cant even imagine how that feels!!!! You know only 135 mph... no big deal easy as pie!

Yes! It seems like you have a wild bronco on your hands which is 100% alright in my opinion. :hellyeah:

Where are you feeding your turbo from man? Sorry if I missed it but just curious.

from the head using the red fp filter.

Wow that turbo looks really impressive. Can't wait to see what kind of numbers it puts down.

yeah kinda curious myself. I checked my log today and found out that the pte 1200cc injectors were at 104% duty cycle OMG

I know my Comp turbo came with the chra already restricted. Didn't yours or are you using the FP filter solely because it has a filter? Roughly how many miles or how many hours do you have on the turbo so far?

Yeah the turbo came with a brass type internal filter/restrictor I went with the fp as you stated because it has the changeable filter just wanted a little more insurance. I am glad i did because I have changed the filter twice since my engine build and true enough I trapped a good bit of machine debris:thumb: I have seen many threads where guys build this fabulous new engine , put this brand new turbo on the new engine and in a couple of weeks the turbo is dead because they don't use some type of inline filter and in cases where they do they don't change the filter right after the first complete oil cycle on the new engine and then check it a couple of miles after running the car and changing it if necessary . I have about 5000 miles on the turbo.

I am logging on dsmlink 52lbs/min airflow and boost is set at 28psi. I went to the dyno today and laid down 520whp and 452 ft lbs torque. Found serveral issues though, that stopped the whole session quickly. First issue hugh boost leak boost starts off at 28 psi and levels off at about 21psi. Second more serious oil around front cover. I brought the car back home and took off the timing cover and knotice the oil was coming from oil seal behind small spocket gear. As I looked closer I could tell the pump was starting to fail. The leak wasn't that bad but bad enough to stop the dyno pulls. I did a lot of searching and reading and found out that the gears that come in most after market pumps needs to be deberred and I didn't do this to mine. Also a fellow member who met me at the dyno said that I need to switch to straight cut gears because the helical gears have a tendency to pull into the front cover housing. So I order a pump today and had it shipped next day. Hopefully it comes with the straight cut gears. I will post the dyno sheet a little later tonight the car really have lots of potential. The cyclone has really impressed me.

I'm glad that Cyclone intake is doing what its suppose to do, but at the same time, isn't it going to skew every upgrade you do, like turbo upgrade & cam test ?

Don't get me wrong it has it limits;) I threw the cyclone on the car just for fun of it.
