Ok guys I finally have my new turbo set up installed. Its a comp 6265 unit triple ceramic ball bearing, billet wheel, oil and water cooled monster. I am running bc 280 cams and a ported JDM cyclone intake manifold. This run was with the boost set to my minimum spring pressure of 20psi. All I have to say is WOW!!! The car pulls like a monster, very hard. Here is a short video done at night. I can't wait to turn the boost up to 30psi:cool:

i am venturing to say you spent way to much on that turbo LOL

retails for 1475.00 Remember this is only 20psi and it pulls harder than my old bw259 with boost set at 31psi in which I dynoed at 504whp not to mention the turbo out spool the old unit as well!

Glad to see you're back in action after all the issues you've had:hellyeah:

Thank you! Glad to be back;) I will be hitting the dyno here soon. Kind of curious to see what the ported cyclone put down with this big turbo:sneaky: Some other changes I have made is that I dropped the compression of my pistons to 8:5 to 1 from 9:0 to 1 with the new custom slugs from CP. I will be doing some updates to the cam test thread as well.

I'm thinking about getting the 6265 or the 6765 right now I'm leaning toward the larger. I can't wait to see what you get out of this turbo.

6765 Holy Molie I can't imagine what that thing will put out! My 6265 is rated between 680 and 700 hp. 70lbs/Min:D

Never heard of Comp Turbo but at that price with what it offers seems almost too good to be true. The vid sure does show how much power you're making, the rpms are flying there.

What exhaust housing size, bolt and flange did you go with?
If one of the V Bands, did you have a custom DP made?

Plan is to start out on low boost and work our way up. I'm not sure what manley rods and wiseco pistons will handle. I just need a turbo that I got a little room to grow into haha

I thought the purpose of the ceramic bearing turbo is so you don't have to water cool the center ?

$900.00:d brand new it retails for 1375.00 Remember this is only 20psi and it pulls harder than my old bw259 with boost set at 31psi in which I dynoed at 504whp not to mention the turbo out spool the old unit as well!

Thats actually a really good price. I picked my JB Billet 6262 .82 a/r T3 for $830 from a dealer its hanging in there at 37 psi.

The bb didn't really reduce lag much, I realize yours has a little larger turbine wheel than mine. But I am around 30 psi around 4700 and 37 psi around 5300 rpms.

Well I do know this all of comp turbos are built custom after a list of your mods, hp goal and current turbo set up is given to comp. They at this point will recommend what will work best for you based on all the info you gave them. It only takes a day or two to put together a unit that suits your needs. Mine was custom made and I personally requested that they tap for water I just wanted a little extra protection. Another thing to note is that comp CNC their own center sections (Aluminum instead of Iron) less heat under the hood:D the turbo is a work of art if I have to say so myself. Like I said before this turbo puts out more at 20psi than any turbo I have owned and with that being said I know I will blow past my old 536whp numbers.

Have you dynoed it yet?

Reminds me of my buddies BW360! That turbo you got there sir demands more boost, you know it!

I know, this is just a sample of what the turbo is capable of even at 20psi. I need to install my fuel pump upgrade. I did this pull just after engine breakin 1500 miles to be exact. Trust me more is to come after I finish my fuel upgrade:sneaky:

No not yet I am hooking up my second 044 soon and hope to do a race gas tune higher boost mid 40s, and more timing.

But I will see what it does on the street tune.

I see an awd swap in your future :p

I spin all the way threw second in my car and break loose a bit in 3rd.

So it pulls harder than you you 264 setup? But what about the old 272 setup? :p

Its really hard to tell. With the K272 set up I really couldn't put it to the test My fuel setup was maxed out Know with the bc 272 set it was a different story they were the junk. In fact I think I will be swiching back to them when I test the 280s.
The 280s are nice but I think the bc 272s will better accomondate my current cyclone set up. The 264 pull harder down low vs the 280s ,but the current set shines brightly up top. I still have to tune the car, put new fuel set up in ect. I have done so many changes lately its very hard to really make a equal comparison. All I do know is that this set up is the best yet. The pull in the video was with the cyclone butterflies open all the time. I went to summitt and purchased a rpm switch and finally have the butterflies working properly. The car has more lower rpm power than in the video. You might note in the video the car wakes up at around 4500 t6o 4700 rpm , now its come on soemwhat more smoothly , now that the butterflies are working. I have them set to open at 4300rpm:)

You worried about your transmission holding up? Sounds like your FWD.

Na not too worried:cool:I went with the south ben kevlar clutch disc after many hours surfing the internet this disc is held in place witha act 2600lbs pressure plate this should be plenty. The thing I like about the kevalar disc is that during normal driving the clutch is smooth as stock and when warmed up is as beastly as my old 6 puck. Best of both worlds.:D
