Sorry to thread jack, but would HKS Valve springs and stock retainers be enough for the Delta K272's? I've been looking into theses cams and a local has the springs and retainers for a deal just wondering if I should pick these springs up with the intentions of using these cams.

Wheres these videos i was reading about you taking with the tests? OMG.

We did vidoe the dyno session but I have to figure out how to save and convert DVD footage. Please be patient I will eventually compile all this testing into one big beneficial blogg! Stay tuned as we are trying our best to finish the testing:cool: Work load with my business has increased all of a sudden and time is strained right now! After this big project that we are working on which is suppose to be finish first week in april I am going to take the month off and complete everything! Thank fellas for all the support the support lets me know that what is being doing is helpful to all:thumb:

So are you going to do a dyno run on the Hks delta 272 Regrinds? I would rather see a 264/272 delta regrind done. I Would like to see if the torque numbers are there and where?

My thoughts exactly.

Any updates?

It wont be until I address my fuel issues. I got the bosch 044 on order! Right now the testing is on hold until I can get my work load under control with my business all of a sudden we just got busy!:D

Haha thats cool was just wondering how the progress was going with the testing. Have yet to put my car back together but have the delta k272's ready to go in. I cant really push them to their max because of my stock bottom end but still would like a number to shoot for in the future.

I would like to see the comparison between the h272/272 and h264/272. I also wanna see if the torque numbers are there

all these demands for this guy who stepped it up to do these test..

to OP did you ever post a paypal account so maybe members can contribute and give you some funds for your tesitng..

Yeah only Had one member to contribute and it was much appreciated. I will do my best to get this testing back on track in april when I get the time to gather all the parts for the bosch 044 ,for I too am curious as to what the other cams : Bc280 and delta H272s are capable of:) Trust me donations are appreciated;)

I apologize for being so late sending money, but I had family issues and had to save everything in case of an emergency. That's resolved so to speak, and the money should be already en route to ya ;). Thanks again for your hard work and efforts. Your real world testing has been an immense help to the community.

No problem! Not trying to make any money or put pressure on anyone on this board. I am just glad I am in a position to even do the testing and when its all said an done I will blog everything in a nutshell so all can benefit:thumb:

Any updates?

I just ordered a set of Delta K272s. Brand new cores, not regrinds, shipped to my door for $368.

Unfortunately i can't attribute changes in dyno numbers to the cams, because i'm changing several things at once.

Those K280s are calling my name. I'm wondering if I can cheat with the K272s and my Crower/Ti spring setup if I shim them and stick to roughly 9500 and lower RPM on an Auto.. Hmmm.

Any updates?

Yeah its not goodOMG In my last dyno in which I ran out of fuel the car ran lean, back fired and damaged one of my ross slugs. We pulled the engine and broke it down took the block to the machine shop had it bored 40 over from the current 30 and is in the process of putting the engine back together. Thanks to Bc for the great deal on a new set of Cp pistons/Slugs. Also thanks to the machine shop that I deal with for donating their time to machine my block as a donation to help me complete the cam testing. I just might go back and retest the bc272s and the k272s with the higher compression pistons to see how this affects horsepower. As you know I now have to deal with two issues, the fuel issue and now the block/engine issue therefore be patient with me as I address both so as to provide update to this thread for I to am curious am as to the results of the last two sets of cams Bc280s and the k272s by delta. I would like to take this opportunity to thank the members who gave those small but very appreciative donations through paypal for this really help me in the pocket so as to offset the cost and time of the cam testing:thumb: I will continue to update this thread as the results come in. Thanks;)

Just a FYI, but your MAF was being overrun pretty badly. I'd venture a guess that it was a major contributing factor to your damages.

I appreciate the input. Maybe its a combonation of things. One thing I do know for sure the fuel pump could not keep up. I will address all these issues when I start the testing back up.:thumb:

I just wanted to jump in and say this is some awesome stuff you are doing and thanks again for the test. Seeing that you topped out on a single pump with e-85 makes me glad that i just picked up my dual pump setup LOL.
