The pin info would have been useful when I ordered mine bro. Dustin didnt mention a wrist pin option..

huh? Thought the 3g lifters were supposed to fix that problem.
Kel I have a spare 1g head laying around. Has bad valve guides. Was thinking of junking it but may try and revive it. Not sure what it would cost to replace the valve guides. Was told it could get pricey since they are press fit in.
One more question. You said you gasket match the intake runners but not the exhaust? So the exhaust side basically just gets opened up internally but the outer part where it mates with the exhaust mani and gasket stay the same correct?
I've been looking at a few kits from eastwood also. Are these kits in the same ballpark as to what you use to port your heads?
Engine Porting Kit
Cylinder Porting and Finishing Kit
I am shooting for 700HP to the wheels! Did I say that? Daggummitt it slipped out ,I have some big shoes to fill now
Think you should make a record attempt with the cyclone manifold first.

At that power level, its gonna be insane bro! Keep us updated!

You don't want to change shape if exhaust port as this may effect the air flow and hurt turbo spool. There are a couple bumps in the exhaust ports that you can ease a little to help flow but nothing beyond that.
Now it all seems so simple. Thanks for clarifying that. I was under the impression you blow all that shit wide openNow it all seems so simple.
Also a buddy of mine mentioned that the wiseco hd pistons have the same wrist pin upgrade. He showed me both the original pin and the upgrade and they both look like yours (broken, new).
He was not aware of this upgrade until someone gave him the heads up after he ordered his pistons.
That pin is beefy as hell.

That video definitely put me where I need to be. A little more clear about the bowls and how important it is to make sure everything stays the same in each cylinder.
Nice set of rods to go with. I have a set of eagle h beam and crower (not bc) i beams here that I have been researching on to see which ones to keep. Guess the eagles are going byebye.
I think you had a tuning issue that caused this.

According to cp after inspecting the pin and sending me a new set of custom pistons, the pin broke from meatal fatigue. They even said that it is possible that the pin may have had small cracks in it from production because it broke in Y configuration. And you know what I agree. I had to send them all my pistons and pins for inspection. I guess they also wanted to see what shape the pistons was in before accepting responsibility. I was fortunate because they plainly states that there is no warranty for their pistons
That's why we don't use CP pistons in boosted engines, they're just not tough enough. They made a name for themselves building pistons for super stock and stock eliminator engines- all N/A applications where lighter is better. Never had a broken pin in an engine running Wisecos. But like Keltalon said, this scenario was a defective pin and CP stood behind it.
I'd still be rethinking how you do things. You seem to break a lot of shit for ho-hum results on larger turbo's.

not to mention bad to the bone!Yeah in my custom set I had them to drop the top ringland down some. compared to competitors they were imo too close to the top.

Ostar Motorsports made 670+ hp on their stock block motor while also making low 9 second passes with it. If these CP pistons are weaker than oem ones that's just a shame WTF
