Ok, so I have a 95 gst and I had to get a 3g brake master cylinder (BMC). Due to aeromotive AFPR needed a spot to go. I did my research and found it was smart to grab the brake booster (BB) with the master cylinder. Well I replaced both my BMC and my BB. Sence the install my brake lights wont go out and my peddle has resistance from the start of pushing on it.???? what could be the problem?? any help would be appreciated.

The problems you're experiencing post install have nothing to do with the 3g BB/BMC and everything to do with the install.

Also, searching "brake lights always on" would have gotten you half way there. Please use our search next time before posting.

As far as the pedal pressure, you may find the issue when you're under the dash checking out the brake pedal pressure switch. Check the install, something might be hanging up on the back of the pedal/BB. If not check that the vacuum line going from the IM/BB is installed properly and not leaking...

It's alright. You just can't be too specific or else you won't find much doing a search. Guessing you typed in "3g brake booster install brake lights not working"? Don't be specific, keep it general like "brake lights always on" and search Title only, then look through stuff that pops up.

You get the idea. The topic's been hit a few times to say the least, I'll keep the thread open to troubleshoot the pedal pressure. Too stiff/soft are subjective, obviously if you're the driver you want it to feel good to YOU but what's resistance? Does it feel unsafe to come to a stop, like you're standing on the pedal just to get it to slow down?

I wish I could get that far. my build is almost complete. JNZ is shipping my 1g cas pigtail sometime this week. Also I need front pads and then I will really be able to get the brakes figured out. The rear has pads but the front doesn't. The car sat for 4 months, 3 months waiting for dsmgraveyard. the peddle feels like its pushing fluid threw too small of a hole. I have single piston fronts and dual pistons in the rear, stock for 95 gst.

Yes my brake pedal is very hard. Locks up the wheels when coming to a hard stop after speed. My suspicion is that the 3G MC piston diameter is pushing more fluid than the capacity of my Baer brake calipers can handle. I do have brembos in the rear. Im hoping this issue will be resolved when I put on my 4 piston Stoptechs in front. If I had the front brembos on I believe there would not have been an issue. Now these Stoptechs Im getting are supposed to be able to work with the stock system so Im hoping that I wont have an issue but I am not sure. We will see. If its the case I will need to use a MC with a smaller diameter piston like one inch vs this one which is a litttle bigger than one inch in diameter I forget the specs.

Very scary situation I encountered with my present 3g MC BB, rear brembo, front Baer brake setup. I still doubt the necessity to change the BB but Im going to relate my issue more to the Baer caliper, 3G MC combo.

Resolved changes defective Brake booster the rubber insulater was worn out around the pushrod so she could not hold vacuum as a result hence the hard pedal.
