So here's the deal. I switched from a mbc back to a stock BCS with a restrictor in the line that goes to my intercooler pipe so I would be able to regulate boost through the feature in link V3. On the mbc I was running 18psi but when I switched over to BCS I'm stuck at 10psi and creeps to 15psi. Its an mhi evo 3 16G turbo with a fp side mound and hard piping all around with a 1G blow off valve. I've boost leak tested it. So far found no leaks other than the slight amount of air that gets into the crank case. The stock restrictor has be removed from the BCS I'm using a brass tee. The boost tables are set to 100 percent yet still 10psi. What could this be?

My boost kicks in at 5k rpm. Set from prev owner.
I was thinking like 3,000-3,500 would be better. How would you adjust that?

The only thing that comes to mind since you said the previous owner set it that way, is they put a weaker spring in that external wastegate of yours. Allowing the wastegate to partially open up at low boost pressure causing the delayed spool up.

Anyone? Any ideas?

Maybe try switching back to your old setup just to verify that everything is working correctly. If your able to boost normal then it will let you know there is something wrong with that bcs setup your trying to use.

You need to do the boost leak on the mouth of the turbo.
So...have you done a boost leak at the turbo inlet or not?

For the bcs, have you tried messing with the settings in link? You need to have a map sensor defined (ECUinputs page, Manifold Pressure dropdown) such as the Omni Power 4bar, and try setting the "Lock at 0% below" and "Lock at 100% below to full negative (Boost(WGS) page).

Well I'm buying a boost control solenoid from ECM tuning so hopefully that does it

It's set right now at 100% and only refer to first gear tables checked. So basically everything is 100% on the tables.

I'm talking about the "Lock at below" fields:

Try setting them to full negative (-29.92).

Before editing those fields you'll need to select a map sensor on the ECUinputs page, even if you don't actually have a map sensor:

Seems odd, but this is what I had to do to get mine to work...

I have enable boost control and use first gear checked. But those your telling me about are zero'd out. Yes I'm using "the pill" but bought a boost control solenoid from them along with another data logging cable since my doesn't work anymore and yes I filled out the sensor Pinouts with omni 4 bar and etc

Didn't work

Well I ordered an ingersol one so hopefully it works.

Update: I haven't installed the ingersol boost solenoid yet because I'm trying to figure out how to install it without cutting my harness. But I was remembering that when I had an mbc installed, it never had this sound. So I'm guessing it's somewhere in the settings of link V3. I just got my new data logging cable so I'll have to run some tests this week.
