So I have only checked the shaft play on the turbo, nothing else.
I'm buying the car and havn't had a chance to get it home yet.
Heres my issue:

Driving normally and once you get into boost it only boosts to 3-5 psi.
No weird noises.
The previous owner got rid of the boost controller and ran the hose from the wastegate and BOV straight to the manifold, is this whats causing the problem?

If the car is holding boost at, say, 7 psi at full boost it's not always a boost leak. I just had a boost problem with my car and, strange enough, it was a coolant leak. I'm not saying that it doesn't sound like a boost leak that is the problem. Just saying that a boost problem isn't always a boost leak.

Dude did you ever take off your wastegate and add a washer to both brackets? The flapper could be not closing all the way.

Thats what my issue was anyways.

Haha your a joke...good luck with your car, dont blow it up.
:thumb: Thanks! I consider myself a pretty funny guy, you should see me in person.:|

When I replaced the wastegate with a known good one I had to PULL it to fit where the bolt holes mount to the turbo so it may not be sealing due to wastegate crack but it's got some tension while its sitting there...

I'm going to swap out the bov for a stocker tomorrow, soon as I find some bolts. I can hear the bov working as usual but If its not this it's either the turbo being bad or the wastegate flapper isn't sealing well enough.

...Hmmm..

Check your 02 housing. You might have a crack open around the Wastegate flapper. Infact, that's exactly what this is starting to sound like.

Take off the MBC. Remove the 4 bolts holding on that 02 housing, and check around the flapper. It's either going to be a crack there, or a bad waste gate.

Thats exactly what i'm pointing to...
I have a good turbine side from my galant i'm gonna throw on there tomorrow. We'll see how that goes. I'll take the O2 housing off first and investigate. I can't imagine it being anything else but that. I've seen some wicked warpaged 02 housings. I'll update tomorrow, this is an easy check... most of the time.

Wow colt that's odd... Anyway, I found my issue. Super duper wastegate crackage. Had about a quarter inch gap of leaking exhast past the flapper. Still need to get a banjo bolt from the storage unit inthe krning but after that it should run fine, I'll obviously update if it doesn't. Thanks guys.
