megst98 said:i have a 2g and i was wondering what turbo would be best on my car with the mods that i have so far and will have....
i have:
greddy fmic
ss tubular exhaust manifold
o2 housing and full exhaust
intake..... and all the rest little things.. boost controller and stuff..
i will be getting 660's and a 255LPH pump and the SAFC, fuel rail and afpr
i was thinking of going with a 20g but if anyone has any comments to what i should go with that would be great....

Slowboy said:#1) Call Tire rack and order Kosei K1's and M&H 24" x 9" work well for the FWD.
#2) FWD to run low 12's in a full weight car you will need high 300's to low 400's IMO to trap around 117-120.
#3) Depending on your ability to tune, or if you will get the car to a dyno, I would assume you will need at least a 50 trim of some sort, or if money is not as tight do a GT30R in a bolt on housing.

However, you are most definitely correct. If you want to break into the 12's, you should get an e316G or larger, depending on how far you want to go in the future and how much you have to spend. The most important thing about getting a FWD into 12's is the proper driving/suspension setup.blcknspo0ln said:Mike, you make it sound so easyHowever, you are most definitely correct. Lee'sGSX said:Stock converters stall to about 3000-3200 rpms. so most small turbos(t25,14b,small 16g ,big 16g, evo 16g) reach full boost somewhere near there. So it's all in the tuning in building lots of boost on the brakes. My wife 2g with evo 16g and 272 cams would build 25psi in seconds on the stock converter! With the 50 trim it'll build about 17-20 psi on the stock converter. With the IPT restall it'll build 25+. If have'nt done boost leak test then i'd suggest to do it. That will drastically help spool time and building boost.
