Back/miss fires, slow acceleration, smoke, CEL

Ok so i was told the CEL was because of the map sensor and O2 sensor, I got a used map sensor, CEL still on. maybe O2 sensor?

Throughout all the gears, pedal to the metal, SLOW acceleration! boost goes all the way up, rpm jumps up and down, barely go up a hill, can barely go past 45mph. maybe boost set too high? fuel leak? fuel filter? no back pressure? (the air comming out of the exhaust is puttering..... miss fire?) (I changed the spark plugs to bosch platinums today, no oil on them, wires are in right place... i think)

Is seafoam eclipse gst safe? Anyways I seafoamed it today..... did it correctly, came back home after the high rpm(I tried to keep it high) drive and once i came back home..... smoke everywhere. looked under the car, it looked like it was comming off of the exhaust piping, down pipe, turbo manifold. maybe too much pressure in exhaust, too hot? something inside exhaust?

Need help asap! I'm begging YOU!

That CEL isn't just a universal light to let you know theres a problem, by connecting a scanner up to the car you can read EXACTLY what the problem is. I ran without a MDP sensor (our cars don't have a MAP sensor) and never threw a CEL code, however a malfunctioning front o2 will cause all the symptoms you described. If you pull any of these codes using a scanner replace the front o2 sensor...

P0130 Heated Oxygen Sensor circuit Bank 1 Sensor 1
P0135 Heated Oxygen Sensor Heater circuit Bank 1 Sensor 1
P0136 Heated Oxygen Sensor circuit Bank 1 Sensor
P0170 Fuel Trim Bank 1​

Running a thing of Seafoam on a DSM is just fine, its actually a way to find exhaust leaks. All that smoke is just the Seafoam doing what its supposed to do, burn off all the carbon build up. On a car with a well installed working exhaust system the only smoke you'll see is out of the tail pipe, on a car with exhaust leaks the smoke will escape through the cracks and the gaskets that are bad. You could also be running like crap and throwing a CEL because you have too many pre-turbo exhaust leaks.

hey thanks gofer. my brother told me the same thing. I never knew that the O2 sensor can make a car run like that. What are some cheap places you can get O2 sensors? I know they're expensive. my brother told me to try sanding it down and see if it helps but if not, cough up the money and buy a new one.

How many O2 sensors are there on the exhaust system? is there just one on the cat? or is there another one?
