ok so i got the motor in everything seems to be hooked up correctly. problem being when i turn the key on the fuel pump doesnt kick on till i try and start it. when i try and start it nothing happens. no crank no nothing. the guy i bought the roller from was running 10's with it so most of the wiring was butchered but i am extremely good with wiring and pretty sure i got it all. so if anyone has any insight on what would cause it to not crank let me know im about to go check to see if the starter is getting any power. otherwise does anyone know why the fuel pump only turns on when i try to crank it

I had this happen once, and it turned out to be the CAS was not hooked up.

is there anyone in the chicagoland area that could possibly stop by and help me figure out this wiring im so lost right now and i move to florida in 2 weeks. this is my first DSM and im not familiar with the wiring and what its supposed to look like please let me know thanks

i actually had to do the CAS sensor from the 1g cause of my aftermarket gears i finally got the starter to work but now the fuel pump doesnt even kick on when i try to crank it

The easiest way the check if the fuel pump is working is to unbolt the fpr..And if fuels just runs out you have pressure..But it's not a bad idea either to just rent a fuel pressure gauge from an auto parts store to make sure the pump is working correctly..

If you need someone to come check it out for you, I would do a member search for people in the chi town area..Or get on chitowndsm..Your going to need to work quickly if you plan on driving the car to Florida in 2 weeks..

yeah i know i gotta work quickly the car isnt officially done yet. everything is in but the turbo and fmic. im waiting on the fmic to be shipped but i was just bump starting it to make sure everything seemed to be in ok shape. so i cant check the FP yet. i do have an aftermarket FPR and i got the walboro 255 it was kicking on when i would try to crank it earlier but only when i tried starting the car now it wont turn on at all. not when the ignition is in the on position or even when i try to bump start it

and all i did different after i got the starter to work was ground the wire by the starter to the tranny. and it stopped working

i also have 5 plugs 4 are on the trans side and on is over by the power steering pump. i also have 3 bear wires and i have no idea where they go does anyone have a wiring diagram or any site that shows thanks
