Well Imgettign really close to giving up on my car. I have about every boost issue at once, hits 10psi and cuts out, spickes to almost 20psi and hits a wall, also get flutter(under light/low boost). I though my MBC was adjusted wrong. So i remove the MBC and run straightoff the WG it self. With running off WG pressure its hittingawall at 0psi. I replaced what I clould find for vac leaks, fixed what I knew was boost leak. Is my WG shot? BoV shot? I dont have a air compressor so I cant do a actual BLT. I should take it to the gas station and use their compressor LOL.

what kind of turbo are you running? could be a WG issue or run an external wastegate.

Or if you feel like being cheap(like me LOL), Just go buy a refillable air can that holds like 125psi and spend $1.50 in quarters filling it up at the gas station.

Thats what I do...

Light flutter is normal at very low boost. Get some mass air cleaner and clean out the MAF just to make sure that isn't the issue. My guess is you have some really big boost leaks.

I tried doing it that way but it wouldn't push past about 10psi on my car. An actual compressor worked alot better though.

As for everyone else I have access to onsmall compressor but Im just picky because they have to fill up with air before I can even pressurise the motor(when I know theres massive leaks). If it was a massive boost leak whydoes it not boost at all when hooked to WG?

EDIT

Im running stock 14b. I run a GM maf and its clean. I dont have it tuned correctly yet either but Im getting help with that.

good luck bro.

I know what Im doing. Just sick of problems after problems. I have little to no time tosit here and work on my car. I have had this car for months and spent 3k to get it where its at now. Frankly not to bring personal issues in this but I have alot of sh!t going on and I dont have time for POS comments its pointless and just not of any help. How about this once youown aturbo and currently drive one dont post in my threads.

you could make the tester using parts from home depot, lowed, etc... then go to a gas station and use a compressor, but i think they only go up to 80 psi... and yes i have done this... :)

didnt see this post.....i have the tester but looks like ill have to use gas station LOL

that would NOT be your problem... no use putting gas on the fire... he wouldn't have posted if he didn't want to learn...

Theres not much I really need to learn, cept when it comes to tuning. Trouble shooting and fixing issues is easy. Problems Im having didnt happen till link was installed. Hence why Im getting help with tuning.

I'm more worried about that poor car that is bound to end up in a junkyard cause it's owner doesn't have the time or money to maintain it.

I have money. I put 200 a week into the car. Its time I lack. I have did everything to maintain the car damn ner by the book. only things I havent replaced is internaly and injectors/fuel pump, which I have just not installed. Go post else where since you a dumb ### that assumes something he knows nothing about

take a big bucket of soapy water with you to the gas station. splash it on your piping and tb before starting your BLT. then solve any big leaks first so that you can get it to start holding pressure. I had to do this. My turbo noobery left a t clamp loose under my intake pipe so it was hidden LOL.

Haha don't worry, i've had to do it before. man i got some weird looks. Nobody could figure out why i was bringing the compressor hose to the engine bay LOL

I bet LOL. Hopefully I can attempt a BLT tomorrow. I just hope nothing freezes(hence another reason I havent done it yet). Eitherway Ill replace WG. Just to get rid of more vac lines Ill order egr block off and non cruise control throttle cable. BCS is already elimated, pretty mucheverything on firewall is gonna go bye bye over time.

Sounds good :thumb:. All that was done before I bought my car. Thank God. Now i only have 4 vacuum lines.

I have done BLTs before, its just cold here and dont want it freezing during test. No I havent tested the WG. Im just assuming its shot since I canthit boost at all when hooked straight to WG. I can take it off bring it to workand use this super mini compressor there and test it.

OP, Good luck with everything. If it makes you feel any better, my poor little dsm has sat in the garage for over a year. All I can do is sit inside, make engine noises and slam through gears. :p Hopefully you'll get everything sorted out shortly. :thumb:

Sadly I have actully done that in my first DSM..

Flaming removed and warnings handed out. No more or suspensions/bans will be next.

I promise I won't flame anyone else on here. But that kid was asking for it.

try softening up your blow off valve... if you have an aftermarket adjustable one

Only do this if you are fluttering at full boost 10psi+(if you can even hit it). Fluttering under low boost(6psi and under) is normal.
