Help Me Not Blow My Car Up

I just ordered the Forge UNOS MBC. Obviously I want to crank my boost as high as possible, but I need help to know how high would still be safe. Here's what I have on the car so far: Stock fuel pump wired for constant pressure, stock internals, rebuilt head. 150k miles, GM MAF and translator, AEM UEGO, 3" turboback exhaust, 16G turbo. I also have a Wally 255 if you guys think it will help the fuel system keep up. I just don't have a PR yet, but I can get one. Also I know how to tune my fuel trim properly so there's no need to worry about me running my car too lean, as long as the fuel system can handle the extra air, but if it can't I'll know. I appreciate any help you guys can offer. What do you think? Car is a 92' GSX if it matters.

Well your off to a good start,

You need something to log your data with, be it a palm or dsmlink or whatever you want to go with.


"cranking boost" is not what you want, you are looking for the most power you can get from your setup, correct?
Ok, so then, is your timing set correctctly? fuel filter new? no boost leaks?
Then I would send you off to tuning schoolz.

start out low psi and tune it while turning it up until it starts running outta fuel. then turn it back down to a safe level. pretty simple. since you say you have everything necessary to tune you should be good to go and know what you have to do. find the safe boost yourself. every car is different.

You forgot to include injectors? Or, you don't have them upgraded yet? If not upgraded yet then 14-15 is the safest you can run. 255 pump or not. Please tell me you have a boost gauge to go along with that MBC you are throwing on?? Don't get too ahead of your self or you will do some damage. And remember to follow a proper upgrade path.
