car not starting, help me plz

Ok, ive been putting this car together for about a year and when i tried to fire it up last week i discovered i didn't have a fuel pump so i got myself a walbro 190. I try to start it up after the install and nothing for about 5-10 mins of trying. Then a small spark of life, one cylinder fired. thats about all ive gotten. I took the return line off of the fuel rail and there and tried cranking it and just a little gas came out, i was assuming that it would spray out. I also noticed that there seems to be no gas getting into the cylinders. Anyone have any ideas?

Did you make sure each spark plug is firing?

yes they are firing, the problem seems to be with the fuel somehow. I know its flowing gas because there is gas in the return line.

you discoverd you were fuel pumpless ? as in , you didnt know it wasnt there? or you removed it and forgot about it ? did you buy the car this way?

I bought it with pretty much everything under the hood gone and i put a six bolt transplant in it. Whoever had it before me must have parted the car out and the fuel pump was one of those parts. I got the car at an auction.
