Got a nice box today. Bobby recommended I go to these guys for at least a better option than the stock compression arms. Looking forward to seeing how these improves the front end.

The chassis side bushings are hardened rubber. So deflection will be cut down. And also, as I understand it, these are equal caster as opposed to the factory arms that have some caster offset built into them. I'll know more about that when I take the old arms out.

Didn't even get to turn one lap. Not one. We unloaded, set up our paddock space, crew chief and I took the car over to the gas pumps, looked at each other, and put the car right back on the trailer. The rearend feels like there's a loose wheel. Not safe to run. At all. Pretty heartbroken. 3 weeks till the next event. We'll see if we make it.

I thought doing some figure 8's and driving it around would settle the rear and break it in. But it didn't change at all. So now I have to pull it all apart and figure it out.

Also, a couple people I talked to said it was normal operation. But it can't be. The back of the car is moving around way too much. We'll see what we find when we pull the diff.

Alright. We'll some good news. Took the car to a giant parking lot yesterday. Put 4 miles on it just doing figure 8's and circles. Definitely got better. We did some figure 8's at Lime Rock, but we didn't see it getting better and didn't want to risk a crash on track with it not being right. I know we made the right call on Saturday. As hard as it was too make that call. So some light at the end of the tunnel.

I would try and take it out on some twisty roads if you can. Just go easy because it will probably oversteer pretty easy . That way you get some miles on it to break it in. That's what TRE suggests after they built mine. Mine started acting normally after about 200 miles I guess. I had my first Autocross this weekend and it is amazing what a difference it made.

I would love to, but I don't have plates on the car. It's definitely getting better though. Gonna do some more figure 8's and circles at Pocono at the end of the month.

It was absolutely glorious on Saturday here in NYC, so I put some work in. The new compression arms recommended by Bobby went in. Removed the glass, regulators and wiring from the doors, so they're a ton lighter now. Also got the project Mu clubracer brake pads in. Started laying down the new vinyl, a couple other things as well. And, in other news, it looks like we're going to be bringing the car to a Dyno on Friday. It's just too risky to try and tune it on track.

Did a little bit yesterday. Put a new alternator in, fixed an exhaust leak and some little things here and there. Took a couple pics of the car.

Got the car over to Sean Iveys shop today to get the car tuned. After talking to Sean about our goals with the car, we decided to stay conservative and tune the car for longevity and durability and not max HP and boost. So when all was said and done the car made 364awhp and 294tq. Torque curve is good and flat from 4300 up to 6500. Should be a fun Pocono event next week.

We'll, it wasn't a fun Pocono event. First lap in, spun number 3 rod bearing. Taking it apart this week and figuring out just exactly what went wrong. Oil pressure was on point. Motor held together on the Dyno just fine. Really disappointed and frustrated. We'll put it back together and see what happens.

dang man, that is the most frustrating.... I have had that happen at two different events... first time caught it early, second time it happened at 8k rpm and didn't catch it in time... destroyed a eagle crank, and a I beam rod.. take some pics when you get it apart so we can help diagnose.

I will. Ordered an eagle crank, Manley H beams and going back to standard ACL tri-metal bearings. I talked to the guys at King Bearings. Really nice guys. Gonna email them pics of the bearings and see what they can figure out. Gonna try our best to get back out there by the end of June.
