Whats going on every one I just got back from looking at my other other project... but that can wait! I got to work on my purple talon yesterday. I picked up a vrsf fmic an Hks elbow from dsm1991_28 Thanks again. So the old front mount had to go, on the 91 gst I picked up a few weeks ago score. Any ways im tired of typing so look at the pics enjoy.

Update time! I was searching on craigslist the other day found a 92 GSX shell so I went to check it out.

Yeah it happens its part of the collection. Not sure what my plans are with it yet.

An on to the purple talon, wire harness time! This wasnt as bad as I thought it was going to be.

Harness is about 90% done just need to tuck a few things.

FMIC an bumper got painted.

Thats all I got for now. I was hoping to get more done the last week but the clutch in my impreza went out. Ill share a few pics took me an a buddy two hours to pull it pretty easy as this was my first subaru trans.

So im contemplating STI swap but thats another story...

Im on the edge about it but its hard haulting a project an picking up another an running with it. Trust me tho I would love a STI swap in my impreza I would want to drive it just as much as my DSMs. Haha the starquest will get there its at the bottom of the list tho... but they save the best for last!

Time for some gauges, I went with depo racing 60mm gauges oil/water temp/boost an 52mm AEM wideband and a Defi EGT gauge

I need to get a inline fuse for the wide band an EGT. There just for looks now

My car came with a ASC sunroof if you don't know what this is its a upgraded sunroof that some dealerships offered. Sounds sweet right? Wrong finding parts for this thing was ridiculous! I found a guy in California that does have SOME parts for theses things kinda pricey if you need that info feel free to PM.

Hey Dsmtuners im bringing this build thread back from the dead! I know I have been gone for way to long an have neglected my poor talon but work an life has been busy an had its ups an downs.

I have made a few change of plans on the car...
- sold the PTE 6252 and DNP manifold, I will be using a 20g an FP manifold
- swapped out the rear AFCO arms for Ingall arms
- I will be pulling the trans an pulling out the quartermaster twin disc


I swapped out the rear arms the other day, the trans will be pulled in the next week or so. Here's a few pics of how the car currently looks.

Not sure why the pics are so small ill mess with it later. It feels good to be back an I cant wait to get this turd running!

I'm using ProEFI, Fuel lab FPR, FIC 1650cc, wally 255, 93 octane. Not by choice, ProEFI was in the car when I bought it. Thankfully my local tuner 3DMotorsports is good with it.

I don't think I have heard of ProEFI, how comparable is it to DSMlink? Sounds pretty similar but i have 1200cc injectors an only 91 octane out in the west coast. There is a gas station about 10 miles away with 100 octane at the pump but $10.99 a gallon.

Yes the STI swap was finished, I destroyed 3 motors an a transmission in less then 1500 miles. Spent about $10k after all the motors an trans an ended up selling the money pit for $5600. I was done dumping money in to it an that's one reason the purple talon has been on hold for so long. On a side not the EJ20G STI pulled like a mofo an was a blast to drive when it was up an running.

Hello every one! I had some free time the other day so my buddy JJ an I decided to pull the trans an clutch on my talon. I think im going to go with a Act 2600 pp an 4 puck disc with a Act light weight flywheel. Im still indeisiveness on what clutch an pp to use, any input on this subject would help aiming for 400-475hp. Any ways to the good stuff the pics.













I picked up some STI 17" BBS's a few weeks back for stupid cheap tossed one on to see if I like it.
