Hi friends, i have a doubt...
i am owner of a DSM eagle talon 95 awd automatic, the car has problems with the trans
and i i buy an automatic transsmision pulled from 91 awd automatic with shift kit installed, rear end clutch, front clutch pack and center diff welded.
i only want to know what i need to install this 1g awd transmission in my 2g awd

Greetings

You will need a welder, and some fabrication skills, along with the 91 torque converter, different front axles, and a different flex plate. You will also need a way to keep the tcu happy with not have a torque converter lockup.

The 95-99 transmissions have 3 mounting points on them, with the other mount being on the engine. The 90-94 transmissions only have 1 mounting point on them, with the other 3 being on the engine. The 1g transmission also has a shorter bell housing, which will make different length axles a necessity.

It would be much easier to find a 2g transmission. Be wary of the jdm import transmissions as most of them are from an rvr. It will have the 2g mount points, but is a non lockup converter. This means shorter bell housing. So you'll still need different axles, and a way to keep the tcu happy.
