I hope I posted this in the correct area, mods can take down if not.

I currently have almost everything set up for a base map to see if I can get this 2g running after sitting for years and was wondering how I would setup for an ARC-2 CDI in Haltech? Would the ignition module be changed to single wire CDI or would I keep it on wasted spark? I’ve done research and watched videos but think I’m confusing myself.

Also my settings on my ARC-2 are restrike, rising edge and crank on a COP setup, please correct me if that is incorrect.

I have never used one with a Haltech. That gets rid of the PTU on the factory harness correct?

The settings on the ARC2 right now are correct for when a PTU is still used with stock ECU. The stock ignition is a wasted spark style. I thought though when the PTU is ditched that something is changed though. Everyone I know who has gone Haltech then just went with their coils and got rid of the ARC2 box all together.

I still have the ptu plugged in and I have it setup in haltech as wasted spark and was told to set dwell to 50%. I was thinking of just switching to the haltech setup instead if I can’t figure this out. Hoping to get the car started tomorrow…

Dwell with a CDI unit would need to be zero
Oops I was told to put 50%. I’ll give that a try tomorrow

I don't know Haltech but I'm going to suggest you move to a smart coil with it and ditch the arc-2 altogether, they are nothing but trouble.

Yeah I kind of regret buying a new one. Guess I’m making the switch LOL

We have used the arc box with 300m coils with good results for many years. That said this is with ecm link where dwell time cannot be changed and on cars that see very little use so likely why they have worked well. Once a haltech is used smart coil is the way.
