6 bolt 4g63t lifters in 3000gt vr4 motor

ok.. Im back.. its been a while.. I sold my 91 tsi, now Im getting a 92 vr4... ok.. this is the deal

I heard the car start.. its got 150,000 miles on it, and start right up.. but the head is ticking really loud.. I know its a f***ed up lifter.. here is what I want to know

I still have hella lifters out of my 6bolt 4g63.. will those fit? I need to know, cause if I buy it, and thats the only problem, then I have a 3000gt vr4 for $1200!!!

o yeah.. and will lifters out of an NA 3000gt fit? Im going to try and clean the lifters and see if they are just stuck or what... Im pretty sure that if I soaked them in some MMF or something it might help.. or saoking them in gas overnight... but I need to know what will actually fit.. Im pretty sure the 4g63 lifters wont work, but Im asking cause it would save me a trip to a junk yard...

The 4G63 and 6G72 lifters can be interchanged.

The NAPA P/N for both is 2131763

heeeellllllzzzzzz yeah.. I was looking online and I noticed that when you buy solid lifters for them, they are different.. but if the part number is the same, I got a whole bunch of them...

ok.. I jsut listened to the car again (the 3000gt vr4 im getting).. the sound is very rythmatic.. its semi high pitched... it doesnt sound low like a rod would sound, but at the same time, I cannot tell where the sound is comming from..

I guess what I am asking is, if the engine had a stuck/collapsed/f*cked up lifter, how loud would the sound be? My old TSi had some stuck lifters and the got pretty loud, but this is louder than that... Does anyone have a recording of a rod knocking or a noisy lifter? anyone who can chime in on this would be great...

either way, getting this vr4 for 1200 is a steal anyway.. its STUPID CLEAN....

well.. if its rod knock, its only been knocking for a lil bit, and not drivin on it.. I think I might be able to get away with just replacing the bearings... any one think that might work?

You positive its not really loud injectors either? Those sound more plastic like than lifters though.

I have heard loud injectors.. .. I used to own a focus with a 2.3 duratec mazda motor, and they are loud as hell.. this is for sure mechanical.. it is loud and you can feel it throughout the motor.. I just cant tell if its top or bottom end...

hellllll no.... I'm only paying 1200 for a SUPER CLEAN one, and the only thing wrong with it is that... I could drop another motor in if I needed and still get double what I put in to it...
