I just measured my 7 blade HX35 and I got 54mm? I thought they were 56mm. Is there an HX35 that is 54mm's?

The holset threads are wrong. The 7blade hx35 off dodge trucks are 54mm, and the 8 blades are 56mm.

Be aware that there are all sorts of goofball compressors a non dodge truck hx35 could have. I have seen a 49mm one. (thats 16g size)

So be aware that unless you pull it from a nonmolested dodge truck, you have no clue what your gonna get.

I bought what was labled a WH1C. It wasn't. It was some sort of a ####ed up reverse hybrid thing. A 56mm 8 blade wheel with a HX40 turbine and a 20cm t3 housing. It was off a cummins bus engine.

I would like to know how the 7 blade HX35 being a 54mm can make more power then a 56mm 8 blade HX35.

Aero tech of the compressor; smaller compressor wheels also allow a higher rotating speed to be generated; this is how the Small 16G can make the same airflow as a Big 16G while using the same turbine wheel.

Also, higher blade count wheels do not perform as well at higher pressure ratios....this is how the 60mm 6-blade and 7-blade HX40 compressors will outflow the 60mm 8-blade H1E/HX40 compressor.

Oh, alright. So the 7 blade HX35 is 54mm, correct?

Every 7-blade HX35 I've had in my possession had a 54mm inducer.

Awesome. Just makin sure. What's the most whp youve seen out of one of these on a DSM with the factory twin scroll .70 exhaust side?

The factory Holset twin-scroll turbine housing is 12cm, not .70 a/r. You're confusing it with the .70 a/r single-scroll T3 housing.

Check the Holset Results thread as well as the Dyno forum on this site for various results.

In a well setup car the 7 blade has gone in the 10's with mid 130's trap speeds. Thats 550+ whp. The 8 blade has shown similar results. If you don't put your gallant in the 11's on it, your doing somthing wrong.
