ok well i posted a thread about how i had a bent rear spindle. well on further looking we found out the crossmember is bent. and explains the reason why she trys to sway . my ? is has anyone done this any adivce on it tips. diagram pics anything so i can do it the right way. havent tore into a dsm rear end yet so i am kinda noob on it thanks guys

For starters your going to have to put it on the alignment rack and check to see how for the rear is out of specs. If there is an adjustment that can be made to offset the damage then you you maybe in luck. Depending on the damage as I can only guess since you gave no explanation in the worst grammar and punctuation possible, I'm going to guess one of two scenarios. If one is that and you bent the lower control arms and shoved the rear tire upwards towards into the inner fender well because backed into something really fast or you ran off the road and ended up in a ditch/field and the car slid sideways and you used your rear axle to stop you really hard. In any event call a shop schedule and appointment and they will tell you how much the damage will cost and if it is repairable before you go and take apart anything. If you can't drive it get it towed to a shop that what's insurance is good for. get an estimate in writing before any repairs then call or ask around and get at least 2 more estimates. Go from there after that you got the information on what it is that you are really needing and you know approx. how much you are going to spend. $$$$

ya i am sorry for the grammar not the best with it but i am trying though. i hope its just the crossmember on there i got it with a bent rim as well. took a dang hammer to get it off. but we have a 96 tsi parts car to be a donor. i really dont know on these guys . seems to be a mystery to me :|

I have a question on the topic of crossmembers. For awhile I've been wanting to replace the cancerous rusting trailing, both lower control, upper control arms, knuckles sway bar & the rear crossmember(mines is a GST Spyder). While I was working on removing the cross member on GS Spyder i noticed both lower control arms are different and no rear sway bar. After removing CM from a 2.4 spyder I walked to a two RS's five GS's GSX( completely stripped go figure LOL) another GS Spyder. And all if them were different i don't what to do if there interchangeable. The sway bar connects to a link that connects to one if the lower control arms. I'm guessing that GST GSX GST Spyder rear lower control arms are different from all the rest???:banghead:

Apologize for my gram. I pulled a front and rear crossmembers and 2.4 5spd tranny ;)

Im hella beat!!!
My bad
