Resolved 1G Part Identification

What's up all. I just got my motor back from being at the machine shop for several months and am reassembling it all. I came across this part and can't find in my pictures where I took it off from. Any pointers would be appreciated. from a 92 6 bolt.

Are you sure that’s off your car? I was thinking maybe coil pack but it’s not for 1g

30 years and I don't remember seeing anything like that.

Interesting, I can't think of anything that I've worked on that would have it. If no one has ever seen it then it must have just gotten mixed up in my parts.

Not an exhaust hanger or something like that is it???

No, all that's been replaced and accounted for. This would be off the front of the motor (timing side) based on the parts pile I found it in.

Could that be the bracket for throttle body to cas?

Or perhaps (just a guess) some kind of starter alignment/spacer bracket OR alt alignment/spacer bracket?

That looks like an alternator bracket but obviously not from the 1 or 2G or someone would have recognized it.
I was going to say it's a thingamagig that hooks to the whatyamcallit... I went through 28 pages of brackets on Mitsubishipartswearhouse... Theres ten items to a page and found nothing.

Not a dsm part ive seen many dsms never a part like that looks remotely one of ours.

I have a 92 6 bolt and have never seen this bracket. Sorry I can't help. But nobody responding has seen this either so I dont feel bad. Ha ha ha

Yea, I'd say I'm safe to leave this part off

Could you take a picture of that part with nothing else in the background... Lay the part on a white piece of paper and take a pic and post it back here. I have a program that if I enter the picture it will tell me what it is. It will show me similar items so we may be able to find out where that came from.
