Who is this dude (dsm whatever) from Hawaii? He seems obsessed with harassing the OP. Why has he not been banned as of yet? Dude is mad disrespectful WTF

OP there are tons of us guys on here that can give you a hand. No one guy here knows everything but there are plenty of knowledable guys on here who know alot. Put the clown from Hawaii here on ignore, check and see what other guys with good builds and healthy running cars have done and dont be afraid to ask questions. Never go on thinking yourself or one guy has all the answers unless he has proven results and a good rep to follow. We are all here to help each other. Dont put up with the childish abuse, ignore and report this clown!!!

ive already blocked him. and i know there are others who can help me and stuff. and if i need help i always do research and ask questions. no one person can be a know it all. ( i appriciate your input on a side note )

im certainly not a not it all and i admit that openly; i just spend time researching and asking questions before i make decisions on parts and stuff before i do any build; so i know what my options are and what i can use to make a build doable.

You guys are all dumb for making up that I said " I'm the one and only know it all". Please show me where I said this??? How did that even get in the conversation?? What the hell is wrong with you people?!?! How bout I put all you clowns on ignore!! LOL its so frickin funny!! Non of you obviously get what I've been trying to say to this guy the whole time! Or maybe you did by my last post! If you argue with that Oh well there's no hope for any of you LOL

Dude. Who cares. Let him build whatever he wants. If the motor blows when he starts it for the first time, that's how you learn. I hope it goes well tho. You bashing someone that is spending their time and money on building something that they have high hopes for does nothing for anyone.

Go ahead and "put all us clowns on ignore". That will teach us.

Anyways, I'm more interested in the manifold you will be using. I know you said you knew what you were using, but what is it? Are you making it yourself?

im very positive my engine wont blow up on the first start up. i have checked the timing and all the internal components and clearances multiple times so i know they are where they need to be so i have high confidence it wont blow up. and if it does then oh well just have to start over again.

i am planning on using a ram horn style t3 turbo manifold. i have been considering having a manifold custom made though since the turbo is so large as you seen in the pictures above. but im still set on the ram horn manifold for now. my only real concerns is will it interfere with the starter, had a friend with a large turbo and it arched out on the positive starter wire and burned up his oil feed line, and the radiator fans. i kno i can get away with re plumping the lower and upper radiator hoses and use a 2g radiator and slim line fans and shroud for a 4g63 engine and work just fine. but it will be a matter of will it actually work or not. only way to know for sure is to set it up and see how things all fit.

putting this out there for all viewers for information. yes i plan to run the motor i am building and make 700hp or more in my car. yes i know i run 18's as of now; but no i will not jump the engine up to 700 hp until i am comfortable enough to do so. i am going to work my way up with the tuning process to 700 hp. im not going to just jump right at it and go from 18s to what ever time the car will produce with the new engine, when fully tuned, right away. i will work my way from 18's down until the engine is fully tuned. so again i am not going to jump up to 700 hp right away after swapping in the new engine. i rather get the engine through the break in period before cranking up the hp.

Yes proper break in is vital to a solid running setup, good call. All I mean by mentioning your previous 1/4 time is right now your car is handling 18's right? This is something to really keep in mind as you add more power and in your case boost. Other things are going to change and parts won't cut it anymore. Especially starting with a n/a car and boosting it! Your really going to have some thing's not happy with what your doing! I would even suggest starting off with a much smaller turbo for break in and getting the feel of a boosted motor, but that's just what I would suggest to any customer or someone doing a build like this. That's of course if the cost makes sense or you can find one to easily fit the manifold you plan to run. It doesn't take much to ruin a fresh setup, if not being carful with boost and your tune! I have a friend with a very nice Sti that knows this truth all to well. But for him it took what happen to his motor to wake up and smell the coffee and he now sees the benifit of listening to his friends advise! If you want to really see what it takes to do big numbers in a fwd eclipse than check this thread out bro! Everyone who is actually doing something with a fwd setup is posted on there and you can see what kind of setups it takes and what's been working for most of us! http://www.dsmtuners.com/forums/drag-strip/196598-where-fwds.html. If your really serious about making a fast fwd drag car, I'd suggest become friends with everyone in that thread and start soaking in the knowledge from them!

^^ where have I said any of that dude? What are you even talking about?? Where did I say everything he is doing is wrong and all I say is right?? Quit making b.s. Up and running your mouth guy! Your only making yourself look like a fool! You guys started the name calling not me. And you guys are the ones who continue to do so! I've never told the o.p. a single thing he should do guy so I don't know where your reading. The only thing I've suggested is the guy think about things alittle more and gave him some ideas about what he will need to get this setup to work with his car choice. You guys are the ones twisting everything and making me out as the asshole. Because I'm the only one honest enough to tell the o.p. honest truth. And I'm not pestering the guy or hounding him. I've made a few suggestions to him from what I see in his videos and mods list. And the guy does nothing but say I know, I know I have thought of everything and know everything blah blah blah! Who are any of you to judge me and act like you know who I am or what I'm about! And I know you think your so cute and thinking oh we called that guy out! Haha ya I'm a real douche for trying to help a fellow dsmer see he's about to try and run a 700hp motor in a 18 sec car!! Why don't you guys get off the name calling and acting like your god to judge me and do something with your cars and life! Out of all the people posting against me non have done anything. I'm the only one who has proof posted of what I know and can do! You called me a clown and all this other stuff in all the last posts. So what I call you one back and all the suddon I'm looked at wierd again! What's that all about that's what makes no sense! Why are any of you posting anyway! You havnt contributed in any way to the o.p.! Thanks to me even though he doesn't want to admit it he is starting to hear what I am saying I can see it in his last few post LOL. And o.p. I never said your car would blow up on first start up! Another made up b.s. Post! I'm sure it will start up just fine. It's more of how long will it run without a proper tune. How well do you think your setup is matched to make good efficient power and get that power to the pavement! Everyone has money and can buy all the parts in the world and have the best built motor by the best company, big deal that's all easy. It's truly learning to be a tuner that makes a difference. It's knowing what all those names and numbers can do and what they are for, not just being able to copy and paste a mods list and act like you know everything. Its obvious you all are young and still learning about life and such. So ill let all this slide and laugh it off! Because that's all its worth anyway! And for anyone else that wants to randomly post and butt in like they know. Save it your not helping anything and not even reading everything to have anything to say anyway and just look foolish! And you all better watch who you talk to the way you do! There's real men in this world that will work you over hard for b.s. Talk like that!

sorry but i am not starting to listen to what your saying. i only put a message out to others for information pourpose only and not to show i was listening to you. and i have had enough of this argument sh*t. I have asked you nicely twice to stop this kind of stuff and now i have had it. GET THE F*** OUT OF MY BUILD JOURNAL!!! Moderaters, please block this user from posting in any of my threads again.

You are hilarious and make many silly assumptions about other folks in your post young man. E- thugging will get you nowhere so follow your own advice. :shhh:Stop pestering the op, run your car not your mouth and kill your feeble threats. Leave the guy alone let him build his car.

Op, what did you pay for that turbo? Thinking about getting rid of my T04e .50 trim for something a little larger, and that may be on the menu. Possibly an hx35 or boost freak on here has a precision .57 or .58 for a good price. Which I'm under the impression the two are about the same air flow.

i paid 1,143.00 with shipping for the turbo but it was also black friday so the original price without shipping is 1,214.57. I got it from summit racing equipment. Here's a direct link: http://www.summitracing.com/parts/tnt-11521-bb?seid=srese1&gclid=COC_tYX64LoCFe5cMgodxnwA3Q

i wish you luck on your new turbo hunt.

on another note. i have completely built this engine from scratch and did not buy it from a vendor. that i can promise you and i have all the recites to prove it. i bought each part individually, paid for all the machine work to be done and assembled the engine by myself with no help from anyone.

Here's pictures of my recite folder and pictures of the engine internal recites to prove it:

Nice, everything is looking good man. I actually spoke with boost freak from here today and bought a clutch master off him. I think I may switch my christmas from my family from ar parts for a build, to dsm parts. All I need to complete my setup is a final turbo decision and link. I've already got a decent pile of misc stuff to put everything on (as long as its t4).

I deleted all the crap from myself. Sorry to clutter your journal up for a day. Some people though, that's all I have to say :)

thanks, and i wish you the best on completing your build. im starting to build up what i need for when it comes time to swap my old engine for my new one here. i plan to have it done by april but i may change that to the engine of sept 2014. and i wish you the best on your part collection. sometimes its not easy to get parts when you have to pay other things first and then save for parts. sometimes i have to pay an unexpected expense and not be able to get a part for a while longer. but thats life can't do much about it. in my parts pile i have a 6 puck sprung clutch, hd pressure plate with a sfi approved 8lb flywheel and has been cryo treated. i have gaskets for the rear main seal and such. brackets i have re-painted, venom intake manifold that i ported and polished myself, the turbo charger i just got in the last three days or so, i got a wastegate on its way in the mail, i have new gauges to add and just purchased a stage 3 prorace transmission for the car today. i think i have a few more parts but i have to double check.

thanks for deleting some of it. i read one member, doayamaha, sayin it was horrible build thread due to it. and i pm'd him an apology and an explination. other than that i wish for the future that nothing like that happens in my journal again. if it does i ask kindly that it gets taken outside my journal and would appriciate that the most.

to the rest of the members who werent involved that saw all the unpleasant messages in my build journal i feel an appoligize is neccesary to you all that weren't involved, so i apologize for the unpleasant postings. an i have asked for it to never happen again.

just got my wastegate in the mail today. to my surprise i didn't think it would be this big though. all i have to say is that this is the biggest wastegate i will probably ever see and hold at this moment in life. this is the Turbonetics RG-45 wastegate.

transmission will arrive in 4.5 weeks. cant wait to see it.

not much longer until i swap the engine in. just need fuel components, fabricate the exhaust down pipe, fmic and piping, fuel system, radiator and fans, stronger axles and electronics (boost controller and piggy back system)

plan on running a cryo2 system to help cool the air charge, fmic spray bar and fuel chiller to help remove heat in the intake.

finished paying for the transmission. it should arrive by friday this week.

the srt4 trans comes with an lsd from the factory in it.
i know i am limited to what i can do with the amount of horsepower. i know i will run into a lot of wheel spin getting on it. but i hope i can make up for it somehow. still figuring out some kinks in my plans.

i owned a 2005 SRT4. yes the LSD was nice but going into corners on wet pavement sucked. the car wanted to go straight with the wheels turned, almost wrecked me a few times. at 250tq at 2200 rpm's that srt took off and with wet pavement was no good. screw FWD's.:nono:

I know the car still wants to go straight on wet pavement and im not new to that. i have been driving this car on wet roads and in snow so i kno what its like. and in all honesty i like fwd cars, but everyone has there preference. i've been driving a fwd since i was 16 and i dont have a problem with it being fwd. i have gotten use to it and kno how to correct situations when it doesn't want to turn on wet pavement. and i dont know if you read any of my posts but i decided not to use the srt4 transmission, instead i am using my stock tranny and had it built with an H.D. case and other things.

transmission is delayed two more weeks due to some incorrect parts. had to order the parts from a supplier in south america. hope to see the new transmission soon

BlackKnight 2013 let me start by saying good build thread, I'm new here and I stumbled across your thread searching 420a turbo builds. If it wouldn't be a bother I was wondering if as an experienced 420a builder you could give me some advice on my own build I hope to begin soon on my 96 esi

thanks for the compliment. i sent you a private message with some information. good luck on your build and don't let others try to tell you to sell the 420a and buy a dsm with the 4g63 mitsubishi engine. that goes around now and then.

just ordered 950.00 dollars in parts today. should be here in a few weeks. ordered a mishimoto s-line intercooler black, arp cam tower studs crank bolt cam gear bolts exhaust stud bolts, aem fuel rail and a turbonetics duo 35 blow off valve.

all the parts i recently ordered have arrived, here are some photos:

Nice build, this has definitely given me some direction in mine, If you want to check out my journal any tips or steps would be awesome BK.

i do have a lot of tips and steps to help out. it be a very very long conversation though. i will provide what i can along the way to help you to the best of my ability. all you have to do is ask. and i appriciate the compliment, and i do apologize for some cluttered messages of some members arguing back and forth in the past in my journal.

Nice build, it is coming together well. What is your goal hp?

thanks, im glade you like it.

it is coming together, i am starting my final stages of the engine build. i just have a lot of nickle and dime parts to collect for the final swap. parts like fuel system components and such.

currently i am aiming for about 300 to 400 street and my up it to 500 race or 600. im not sure what the engine will handle on the current set up i have on it. once i get the tuning done i will find what im comfortable with and what the engine and drivetrain can physically handle. i know i am limited to 750hp due to the axle system i am getting for the car, but i might be able to push 800 if i feel comfortable enough.

That's awesome! Best of luck with it all coming together. Everyone builds different, something's work for others and something's don't. As far as the build goes I only offer this tid bit of advice. Just take your time and don't rush, patience is key in any build :thumb:
