You mean an rs to a gst conversion? Do a search, most people say avoid it like the plague..Too much work.

sorry guys i meant rs i wasnt paying attention all we did is take all the suspension and engine because the other car was auto i dont like auto and were taking all the panels doors hood hatch got all the interior in so im using almost everything besides the transmission and its almost done we swapped all suspension yesterday worked from 7am in the morning the whole day then untill 3am haha

Since your grammar and spelling is horrendous and I'm getting a headache just looking at what you're typing. What is it exactly that you are doing (have done)?

im sorry my grammer is so horrible im not in school so i dont try to type the best and also im using my phone so its harder to type. i havent done anything to the car yet but just took a engine out of a gst and im swapping the panels doors and stuff and im going to rebuild my 420a and thats the engine im going to mod

Is there a question here somewhere? Are you asking if you can/should swap the moltor also? This has been answered a million times before. No. Anything is possible with enough fabrication skills but there is absolutely no reason to do so since the cars are available like this from the factory. You'll spend thousands more than you would just getting another car.

you cant just put a gst motor in a 420a engine bay?? i can see you swapping the interior around but why the hood and hatch?? they are the same its just more work for nothing really. do you have a gst and a gs mixed up because they are two different cars besides it says eclipse. if you want to turn your rs into a gs 420a then the only difference is the rear breaks and electrical inside the car. power mirrors, windows, sun roof, cruise control and disc breaks.

I am having a hard time understanding you. So your are swapping the interior beside the engine and building your 420a? I am also on my phone typing this so at least use period after your sentence.

I am hung up on the same detail, and also though it was an sr20 swap by the title!

Brother I am with you! I am 99.99999% positive he did not complete the swap as its damn near impossible. I was just trying to get him to come out with a "clear cut" question so he could get help. But hell he didnt even do that right, and now has every one even more confuzzled LOL...ROFL

now im confused to hell okay this is what happeaned the 420a in the rs had a hard knock so we took it apart and im going to rebuild it..... my mechanic found another eclipse idk what it is a gst gsx idk cant tell you all i know is its not a rs ill ask again tommoroe all i know is that the engine went from the other car into the rs it was difficult but it went in thats all i know

and im sorry for all that i confused.

Heh heh, you gotta take pics of this. I have no idea what you are doing. At first I thought you were putting a GS engine into a RS (and you were confused). But that's a simple task (and you say it was difficult). So I gotta know what you are doing :p

defintely confused! LOL you cant just drop in a 4g63 motor even if it was difficult you would still have to do the whole engine harness ecu and fuse box. get some pics up! if you did put in a 4g63 motor then there is no need to rebuild the 420a block.

okay i talked to my mechanic he said it was a GT????ive never seen the car all i know is its a bigger engine then the 420a so i have no idea and i will have pictures of it after this danm snow storm moves out and the snow clears because its in my mechanics garage at his house
