Ok so i have already searched this, and everything I have read is from like 03-05 so im gonna go ahead and guess its not really up to date. My question is how difficult is it to break 13s (high 13s even) on a 14b 2g FWD? I know my setup now cant do it, im still running 450s stock fp etc. My mods are up to date in my profile. So my future plans are 660s, 190 wally safc2 or maybe ecmlink lite and a logger, 3inch custom (dont know if 2.5 would be ok for 20-21psi?) and on o2 dump because im having creep issues. I don't know if im just dreaming with these simple mods or is it possibile, also i know i need hard uicp. Any ideas/help would be great. Thank you and semper fi.

I reached a 13.6@101 with: 19lbs boost (on 102 race fuel), drag radials, full exhaust setup, and support. So I am more than sure you can reach at least a high 13 with your setup.

Search around on this forums and do all of the free mods along with stage 1-2 modifications will help you reach you goal, unless you can't shift or launch.
Good luck!

I have roughly done some of the stage 1 mods and I have searched alot, I know its possibile I just want to know how difficult it really is. I can launch my fwd, I just need to know what is the minimum for actually breaking 13s. Im looking at mid or low 13s just high 13s. That's not to unrealistic is it? Today I found that a bearing in my tranny is messed up, so is my clutch. I ordered a new disc and a boost leak tester. So ill see what happens after the blt.

Thats good to know, but your still AWD. I really just need injectors fuel pump and safc, so i can bump up past 15psi, also I only run 93

You should be able to get around 17-18psi on just a fuel pump rewire on the 14b.
If you had some sort of fuel control along with a wideband, you should be able to gain some room in the fuel system as well by leaning out the rich factory a/f ~9.5:1 to around 10.5-11:1 on pump.
But I don't see why you shouldn't be able to run a decent time on stock injectors and fuel pump, with just a rewire. Traction will be your enemy as said

Take as much weight out of the rear as possible. It will help with the launch a great deal.

Even so though I ran a 101mph trap on my 14b with stock sidemount/ic pipes. Just had a full exhaust. The car was running extremely horrible but even so I had 13sec trap speeds. My 60ft times were horrible though due to a small thing that led to 10 other larger problems. Just telling you this though to let you know that a 14b around 20psi has the power to hit 13s all day, it's all about the launch.

If you can get a 2.2 60ft or better, not spin much or at all through 2nd, and have the car running strong you should be set for a 13 pass.

Definitely try drag radials, i never managed to get out of the 14's but trapped over 110mph in my fwd because of traction problems in street tires and no lsd.

Actually, I am a FWD. Sean (LaserSpeedDemon) was there at MIR with me the moment I broke into the 13.6 time. So if I can do it, you can too! But I am no longer in the 14B turbo class as I have upgraded to a PTE 6262 SP. BTW... Breaking into the 13's is a good shot if you at least have a exhaust setup. But again, traction is always going to be our biggest problem. Good luck! :thumb:

I don't see any suspension mods listed there. You aren't going anywhere near the 13's on a 14b without addressing the real issue of a FWD. Put more money into suspension, tire and rims. Get a Quaife and problem solved.

Old thread but this interest me. I went to Famos Raceway and realize how hard it was to break into low 14's with my buddies type r civics. They had cams and everything. Saw a gst run low 16 and a 1g run mid 13's. I would be happy to just hit high 13's.

I run 19psi on my small 16g with evo 9 fuel pump. If im low on gas i will hit fuel cut sometimes. But i dont want to lean it out, so i normally ran 18.

Being able to hook will be your biggest problem. On a FWD without slicks, i find its best to launch with only 5-7psi boost, i tried around 11psi before and just spun all day. With a FWD you need to go easy off the start, then punch it soon as you feel it grabbing.

You really need to practice and get used to the feeling, also in 1st i break loose up top all day long, so you will want to shift around 5500? Cant remember at the moment.
