Dang Paul, but at least you'll get a head job ROFL
Sorry about the t-belt. It takes out alot of things. Crossing fingers for a "speedy recovery" 🙏

Fuse panels showed up yesterday, so I got a start on installing. Hope to have them done Saturday morning.
The Panel on the right with be ignition power, I installed a relay behind the glove box that will be controlled by ignition wire. I dont want to have to keep splicing into stuff every time I get a new gauge or something

While here gets 120+ degrees F even in the shade sometimes, I really haven't been able to motivate myself to put back the cylinder head. Instead of that, just did a quick work to replace the green top CAS shaft seal and A/C schrader valve cores.

Just got done rebuilding my rear brake calipers inside and out. Throwing them on tomorrow; Just want to say that I was ASTONISHED at these brake pads. Little to no material left but as I’m going through the car one bolt at a time I’m righting every single wrong this car went through.

I am attempting to solve my no a/c issue and well I think its electrical at this point. Got to the second can and the car died with the compressor force engaged. I have a thread going for this right now if anyone wants to hop over but this is the pressure readings im left with...doesn't look good

Got the panels finished up. Once I get my oil pressure gauge I will work on a wire tunnel down the side and across the front to give the wires a clean path. For now, it works well and serves a good purpose. No more random splicing.
If anyone has done this and has some pointers, Im all ears(eyes)

Made it out to another event with the car this weekend, battled some issues but finally making headway.

Saturday it would not make anymore than wastegate pressure(18 psi), made 3 passes in a row right around 10.70 @ 120....almost a perfect setup for the 10.5 index at the Shootout LOL. Finally found out my 4 port mac valve was dead. Swapped in the spare and back in business for Sunday.

Sunday, first pass, my opponent double bulbed me, didn't give me enough time to build boost on the 2-step and I bogged on the launch.

Second pass, car left good, made all the boost, I wasn't ready for that and I messed up the 1-2 shift, then hit boost safety in 3rd, coasted it out.

3rd pass, upped the 2-step a bit, dialed back the boost duty cycle, cut a 1.42 60', 5.94 @ 121 in the 1/8(first ever 5 in the 1/8!), when I shifted to 4th seemed to hesitate for a bit and I noticed 30 psi of coolant pressure and let out, rolled to a 9.42 @ 140, making a new ET PB by a small margin. Back at the pits the car was running fine, but it did fill the coolant bottle, so I need to address that before I run it anymore.

So still some bugs to work out but it's really showing the potential of the new build!

I cut away the warped part of the dashboard pad and it was worth the effort.

I need to do something similar, it’s nearly the final part I haven’t touched on yet. Hesitating hard on pulling the dash out because I KNOW I’ll spend weeks obsessing over it.
————
To update on my rear brakes I got everything put on, the pads are tight so I’ll need to grind down the ears on the pads a little when I can get a solid wrench session in, I’m also working out a good way to mount the braided lines without relying solely on 1 single zip tie, thinking cable tie saddle mount with a rubber lined pipe clamp. Just need to take some measurements.

So inquiring minds want to know what was the fault code the ECU is whining about?
I have solid mounts and broken clip for that sensor... Took a pair of needle nose pliers and put some hot glue on the ends of the pliers and gently forcefed that clip back into place... Just got back from a spin and it stayed off.... Felt as if I had solved cold fusion...🤣🤣

Very nice. Hopefully it's just the head gasket? What did the plugs look like? How are the tempts (weather) over there? Car was definitely on a RIP. Good luck with the repairs. I wanna go play with mine but I have been burned before racing when it's this hot out there.

Got more of the dash together and the carpet in.

Put the shifter in and I am seemingly locked out of 1st and 2nd using the shifter and by grabbing the arm on the transmission itself. Any ideas? I quickly stepped away in frustration.

Pulled the block and head, definite signs of the gasket being compromised.

Not today but yesterday. Switched to LED headlight bulbs. Had a few people flash me so aimed them lower a little bit. Quite the huge difference in light output compared to the good ol halogens.

Hooked up my heater core hoses, fixed my oil drain, found my front and rear strut bar, checked timing marks,, cleaned up a bit, preparing for shootut. Plan to fire her up and get some help and ideas for the fall and into next year.

Clutch install complete
Fluids show no signs of leaking.
150 miles complete on break in of new clutch.
Nice friendly driving for food shopping and some home supplies from Lowes.
Few thumbs ups and one kid recording as I passed him.
Missed driving this around glad she is back to normal. Now off for a much needed fill up of 93 and quick shower

I was cleaning up a couple oil filter housings last night, and this oil pressure sending unit had rusted out and fell apart.

It wasn't quite what I was picturing would be inside. Reminds me of the board game Mouse-Trap!

No wonder new ones are $85! :)

Made some lines for the passenger brake and Volvo power steering pump. I could have done both AN lines but I thought it would’ve been pointless for the return to the reservoir, so I only made a PTFE AN line for the pressure side. Interested to see how others have routed their lines.
