- "So I bought this $1000 AWD DSM" somewhere around 2009. The NOS 99 GSX wheels were a raffle prize from MOD.
Typical parted-out, neglected, built from 10 different cars type deal.
Got the car sorted out and drove it for a few years/40K miles/5 transmissions.
Mostly street driving and winter ice rally (frozen lake) usage.
Around 2015, I parked it in the back of the garage, ignored it. Eventually the brakes rusted up and the fuel went bad; it still looks like the pictures today.
Ran when parked; in need of attention and reinvestment. But never parted out!!
Update: I'm back into it (2/2026) and working down a to-do list; aiming to make it roadworthy for this season.
