Whats the story on that turbo i dont know anything about it specs and performance.
It’s an old school FP Dsm82 ( Garrett BB 3582). It had definitely been through the ringer as I’m the 3rd owner. I actually got it from the guys off Gears and Gasoline. It’s the original turbo that was on the white Dsm.

Update, I lost some motivation on the upgrades but I’m getting back to it. Fab’ed up a new upper intercooler pipe for the Bosch throttle body.

I need to finish smoothing out the welds then off to Detective coating. Next I made brackets for the remote pressure sensor mount and boost controller.

Next I decided to fab up some external wastegate hard lines.

So I was looking at my wastegate lines and decided I could do better. I knew I could make them more cleaner and precise. I like these a whole lot better.

I also decided to redo my rear view camera project. I found a rear view camera small enough to fit in the rear hatch key hole. Very minimal grinding and it fit perfectly.
I also bought some replacement emblems from CG Performance Parts. They look exceptionally good.

Next is to clean up some exhaust work ,
remove the dash to install the new harness and revamp some stereo components.

Next I started finalizing the aux fuse box for my Haltech. I’m always looking for ways to clean up wiring especially buss bar connections and I think I found my permanent solution. I ran across these sealed breakout box’s from CE Auto Electric Supply and it everything I need. They’re rated to 200 amps and come in 6 different configurations and offer 12 outputs. I purchased three, ( ground , 12v switched , and 12v constant). Next I fabbed up another mounting plate out of carbon, and started sorting out the wiring.

Where did you source your materials to build the harness? Need to learn how to make mine one day soonish hopefully. Looks amazing!

I get all my heat shrink from Ohm-Racing, it’s a very good alternative to DR-25. I use txl wire and I purchase most of that from wirebarn.com. Crimps and labels come from Amazon. All my connectors and pins are from Ballenger Motorsports.

So the downpipe fits like a glove , way better than the eBay special I was working with. One more piece of the exhaust arrived today and Geesh this thing is beefy. You can definitely tell it’s made in the USA. So I searched long and hard for a muffler that checks all my boxes, especially with the drone factor. I went with a Porter muffler , they’re very popular with the hot rod community, but sound pretty good on imports. I got the standard length which is 26 in. My plan is to mount this toward the middle of the car right after the downpipe , then have a vibrant ultra quiet resonator at the end. I think this combo will suit my needs and wants.

Update: Finally got the exhaust buttoned up and I’m pretty satisfied with the end result. Instead of the resonator , I incorporated a megaphone piece. I have been researching how these affect the tone, so I’m experimenting with this one. I welded up a v-band, and added a pie cut to angle the 3.5 in tip. It came out pretty sick. The porter muffler should give the car a nice , deep drone free tone.

Hey man I gotta say I love your car, and I just noticed your from Virginia, I graduated high school in Fredericksburg, my mom and brother live in Richmond, along with detective coating LOL, anyways it’s nice to see a CLEAN East Coast dsm, keep it up :rocks:

Update: Got bored and decided to find a place for the Haltech trim module. I used a hole saw to cut a piece of abs into shape. The fit wasn’t perfect so I sanded it down until it was sitting flush. Next I applied a little super glue gel to hold it in place and applied the decal and knob. I think it looks pretty good. Next is to find a place for the can gauge and install the carbon fiber block off plates.

Very cool. Loving all of the new E-tech, wiring, and CAN upgrades. What function will you assign the trim switch, boost?
