Great so know i know what sensors i need to get sorta of, i was wondering how we are going to monitor speed. I thought about gps with halech but the montero is available too. Really like the mounting of the carbon. Cant wait for you to get it all dialed in.

So I finally got the Haltech / engine harness complete. Next on the list is to tap into the dash/gauge cluster harness and get that terminated for a digital dash.

Update: So I finally got the Evo 2 manifold and Bosch 68mm throttle body installed with AO-Customs gaskets. I also got the Bosch knock sensor installed. I would have done more but the cold garage was unbearable. Instead I decided to help a friend out with his Haltech harness. I will say the Haltech terminated harness is well built and should be pretty simple to wire up.

Update: So due to my boredom and this Virginia ice storm, I decided to work on the car . Only thing is the garage was unbearable and I wasn’t going in there. I have always wanted to try out ohm racing heat shrink that’s an alternative to ray-chem dr-25. So yes I built another harness. I will say the heat shrink is thick and does take some heat to form, but remains very flexible. I am pleased with the outcome and will use again in the future.

Another one from scratch or just wrapped it up with new shrink. Is the shrink lined with glue . It looks thicker. Perhaps more durable for the engine bay

It’s from scratch, yeah I tried out a transition heat shrink boot. That part of the harness is thicker, but it also cuts down on the flexibility. The ohm-racing shrink is not lined in glue, but fuel resistant.

Im boxing up your Haltech items, will most likely get them out next week. I will let you know the shipping rate.

I forgot you are building your from scratch. How was the different from mine from yours as you building two now. Any pros or cons

No worries it's freezing here haven't done anything with the dsm. Just ordered a hood . I couldn't miss out solved my latch issues and I have several hoods just not worth painting do you need to test it out with the ecu. Or ic7

I need to finish ohm testing the harness. You should be good to go with the IC-7 since it’s wired for can bus. You will have to wire in the indicator lights etc.

Finally got the FP DSM82 turbo back from Ian @Turbo lab of America. The turbo was smoking excessively , so I had a full rebuild done with some upgrades. The smoking was caused by the rear seal area of the turbine shaft being worn out too much. I also had Ian upgrade to a billet GTX compressor wheel and a D5 5+5 turbine shaft assembly. This should definitely improve the turbo efficiency. Time to put it all back together.
