Why can’t the 2g be as low as other cars?

I never see actual slammed 2g eclipses. Other cars like civics can be slammed to the ground and be fine why can’t the eclipse go low or even a little tire tuck without it messing up. Genuinely confused.
 
Mine is low and I can hardly fit my low profile jack underneath and it sucks. That's one reason I can think of not to slam a car. I had a 97 gs with 19s on it that were tucked, and beleive me it felt like my ass was riding tar it was so low. It wasn't great to drive that's for sure.
 
Mines on 20s lowering it would beat the tires and wheel wells

Caleb’s old 2g was pretty slammed. They are out there you just aren’t looking hard enough or are you wanting the car to look broken from excessive camber?

Our chassis was designed for performance not slow ness like hondas are for! We have a very technical suspension system that only allows so much area to take up when lowering and when you do you will run into issues along the way with travel and steering correction when you drive along aka Bumpsteer!

Some that are low dont care for the ill effects nor worry about it.

The front compression arm has a fixed point and does not pivot like a normal bush does so if you go to low you put excessive stress on that bush and tear it plus adding side to side movement and you will cause yourself some issues and then likely blame the DSM for being unreliable LOL

So YOU CAN slam it but you have to do it correctly to the get the setup within a spec. The compression arm is not adjustable so you will wear those out reguardless being super low

I guess it depends on your definition of "fine." Bouncing/hopping down the road because of no suspension travel? Scraping your undercarriage everywhere and potentially destroying your oil pan and/or fuel tank? Holes in your exhaust pipes from it dragging on the ground? Tearing your front bumper off going over a dip or speed bump?
 
Mine is low, low on the 2g 16" stock chromies due to my friend who previously owned the car and just like @jesse12345 I can barely get a low profile jack underneath. I haaaaaaaate it. One day (hopefully soon) ill get wheels and new coilovers so itll sit a little higher. My town recently installed speed humps throughout the neighborhood so now, I have to go out to the main street and take the long way to get around instead of shortcutting through the neighborhood to get to the other highways because i scraped on 2 of the 3 speed humps. On top of that, I have a whole list of roads, lanes on highways and even some cities that I have memorized to flatout avoid because of potholes, rough roads, etc.

Might look good in pics and videos and i get plenty of compliments on the way the car looks while i'm out and about, but in reality, its a f***ing huge hassle that Id rather not have.

Oh I didn’t know that thank you 🙏 it’s not that I’m hating on anyone who doesn’t want to go low I just don’t see low - slammed eclipses at all

Understandable
 
You need to roll the rear fenders.

You can make it go as low as you want. Main reason you dont seem them super low with camber gang angles is because the rear upper control arms are fixed, where as the honda platforms have a upper bar link and a large lateral arm. So there really is no rubbing issues because there isnt really a rear upper control arm because of a large lateral trailing arm (on the 92-00 civic and integra platforms)

The honda platform also has cheap adjustable upper lateral arms, and cheap rear adjustable lower control arms, where as our platform does not have those pieces

So yeah its because the rear suspension doesnt really allow a tucked wheel, and if it does it has to be a narrow rim and tire combo. So thats why you will never see a "tucked" setup on the 2g, the rear control arms and rear spindle dont allow it
