Which Turbo Should I Get [merged] What Turbo

Which turbo will be sufficient for consistent 11 second times? I've recently decided on a big 16g, but will that be big enough to run 11s with supporting mods and decent tuning? Remember, this is for a budget street car, so any one purchase over $1k is tough. A big 16g will run about $700-900, which is about $300-400 less than the larger alternatives.

Of course, I'll need lots of practice to run these times, but, I just want to make sure that it's possible before the money is spent.
 
I know this has been asked before but this is my case and i need your help, i have a 2g with 103,000 miles on it, it has a 14b on it,bigger fuel pump(no FPR), air filter. I want to give the car a full upgrade, the other parts i am almost decided on, but the turbo always makes me go crazy. I want a mean street machine and decent track times high12-low 13's.

Am i wrong in assuming these turbos will give me worse daily driven performance?? My car is a daily driver too.

Well i am being offered a 16g mitsu original upgrade With manifold, external wastegate turbonetics soldered to the manifold for $625, is this a good deal? Will it help me achieve my goals??

Hey by next year I'm going to have my dream car. A 97-98 Talon TSI AWD. I have lots of ideas and mods that I want to use to get whoop some local rice in my hometown. I know exactly everthing that I want to upgrade,(from the brand to the where I get it from). The only thing I'm clueless to is what turbo I want. I want to have between 400-500hp at the crank. I dont plan on driving this car everyday either. I'll have my 94 1.8 eagle talon for work and school. My awd will be for the weekends for racing.

I have a goal to hit 500. If i dont ever make it thats fine. Its just a set goal of mine. I just love the excitement of being thrusted back into my seat and noticeing that my competition is seeing nothing but a blur of my car. and with the power of all wheel drive im sure to stick to the road, hopefully.
 
hehehehe only 90%? come on Larry you need to beat 100% of the cars... thats why we are tuners, but yeah it depends on the person and goals... I NEED a 500 hp car.... not my GST but maybe my next car! cuz i NEED to have the assurance i can beat even the best cars. But ofcourse I need to finish this one first....
 
what about the 20g or green turbo?
These are supposed to bolt up to my current manifold so i won't have to make a new one.

I know this question is probly beat to hell....but I wasnt around here when it was being asked. Now I have read all the faq and vfaq, and I wanted to know what kind of turbo I would need for low 12s 11 sec times with decent low end tourqe so I can drive on the street. Now I am not looking for supporting mods all I want to know which turbo to choose from which will get me the described time without the loss of low end tourqe and have a slow spool.

The choices I have come up with are:
16g
t28
18g
20g
and so on(add any turbos you have personally used thanks!!!:thumb:
