Hi, I'm just curious at what kind of MPG (miles per gallon) or how many miles you are getting per full tank?

please list mods and type of driving

I'm currently getting around 210-230 miles per full tank, i fill my tank with exactly 11 gallons of 92 octane. thats what 20 bucks buy in hawaii.

right now i have just an intake, 2.5 dp and 3in full piping catback

car is just used for transportation, once in a while i would just sample it a few times.

DANG OL' MAN!!!!!! I've been getting 175 - 190 to a TANK!!!!!!! Stock!!!!!! What is wrong with my car? Is 14 normal?

It's because the gas gauge is crap I get about 50 miles into my tank before it gets to 3/4, I get around 100 at half, 135 at 1/4 and I'm sitting at E at 180. Then I can take it another 70-100 miles below E because the gauge is crap on our DSM's. You hold about 16 gallons or so and only about 14.5 - 15 is usable, then it starts to die because it can't suck enough gas to keep going on up hills. So I average about 18mpg and I dog it on the highway and I'm in boost frequently from a startup.

I have a 95 RS and GSX, the RS got about 350 miles on a 16 gallon tank on just highway and about 275 on a tank that was alittle bit of city and highway. Now for the GSX when i was driving it back home from buying it the most i ever got to a full tank was 250 and that was pushing it on an open highway, any kind of city driving weather its mixed with highway or not i get about 150 :( the only difference is, the GSX has an 11-12 gallon tank.

Is that tank the right size for the GSX? When I looked up the tech. specs. on the car it said that it was suppose to have a 15.9 gallon tank.

hmm...i have a stock 98 rs N/T and i get around 30 miles to the gallon with blown o2 sensors...coming out to around 420-450 miles to the tank....=X so do i win? haha :sneaky:

With 407.68fwhp at 28psi I was getting 26mpg on the highway. Gotta love great tuning. With my DD 88 Civic though I am getting in the nieghborhood of 43 though. LOL

I'm in the neighborhood of 24-25mpg. I always get over 300mi/tank.
I drive about 70 miles of my 100mi round trip commute on the freeway at 80mph +/- 10mph.
Full boost is at 13-14psi...

It does show that you are on E when you are at 11 or 12 gallons. You still have another 4 or 5 gallons left to go though. That's why people drive past E and continue on for another 100 miles or so. The gas gauge is crap. It is a 15.9 gallon tank on the GSX and most people that complain about it getting only about 200 are the ones that think when they get to E, it's empty; when in fact, you still have 4-5 gallons left.

I get about 310 miles/tank...a lot better than my 97 Dakota SLT with 14mpg. And it only cost about half as much to fill it up.

20mpg if it never sees boost and I take 2 minutes to go 0-70mph, which is how I normally drive. 17mpg if I drive on the more conservative side of normal.

I'm at E after 210 miles, but it usually only takes 11-12 gals from E to Full.

Its done that same mileage through every modification, never changed.

100% stock right now. when i get on it, it seems like a full tank can't even last me 100miles. when i'm low on cash and try to stay out of boost it seems like i would get 300miles. but then again, i've never gone a day without getting on it once. :D i didn't spend the extra money on a turbo car just to watch a civic pass me. NO WAY is that ever happening. :thumb:

I've had 20-25mpg moderate boosting at 20ish psi all city driving, and my last trip out east was around 28ish mpg with mostly highway driving. After fixing my o2 sensor and tuning, I dont think I've ever gone below 17-18mpg no matter how much I rip on it.

I'm still running stock and get about 300-315 per tank though I don't know if that's just partially because of being your standard lead-footed californian. Every mile is always well worth the damage to the pocket book though. I'll admit, it was a hell of a shock after driving around my 95' camry (30mpg) for years.

So I replaced my O2 sensor cause of the REALLy bad gas mileage I was getting. I still have a CEL. Autozone read 2 codes. P0400: EGR flow malfunction. No problem, it's cause I took off the vacuum lines. And I have a P1400: Manifold Differential Pressure Sensor circuit malfunction. I've never heard of this failing. Will this have anything to do with my gas mileage or anything else? Can I run okay without it? It would be nice to have my logger, but the member here that I bought it from hasn't gotten back to me. He is rated well and seems to be a good guy, but I haven't heard a word in almost 2 weeks. Let me know if there is anything i should check out with this code, or if I'm okay without doing anything.

Just thought I'd add that the "correct" way to check your mileage is to completely top off you tank (nozzle clicks) and zero your trip odometer then drive it "normally" till you're almost down to "E" and then go back to the SAME gas pump you originally filled up at and refill it again... all the way to the top (clicks off again), look at how many gallons of gas it took to top it off then divide the miles driven by the gallons to refill it. If you attempt to use your gas gauge you will never be accurate at all. There's just too many variables involved. By the way, I just bought a 1G Turbo AWD that needs an engine because I'm SICK of filling my S-10 4x4 Blazer up every week for over $50.00 and after reading all these MPG figures everyone posted I'm worried the DSM is not going to be all that much better, I usually get between 12-14 with the truck and it seems like that's where a lot of you guys are at with 2.0 liter 4 cylinders!! EEEEK!! I hope that it's mainly because you are all "leadfooting" the turbo cars (I will be too!!)!! It HAS to be because I used to have (YUK!!!) a 1985 Nissan Pulsar that got 32 mpg mixed highway city and I regret selling it and getting that damn S-10 BIGTIME!!
