what kind of gas mileage are you getting?

Hi, I'm just curious at what kind of MPG (miles per gallon) or how many miles you are getting per full tank?

please list mods and type of driving

I'm currently getting around 210-230 miles per full tank, i fill my tank with exactly 11 gallons of 92 octane. thats what 20 bucks buy in hawaii.

right now i have just an intake, 2.5 dp and 3in full piping catback

car is just used for transportation, once in a while i would just sample it a few times.

You know, that all makes sense to me now. It never even dawned on me that the guage was jsut crap. When I first got my car, I drove it to E, and put 20 dollars in it. It went to about half I think. Then when it went to E again I put 10 in it and it went half way between 1/4 and 1/2 tank. However, in both circumstances I dusted it down to E. So what you are telling me is, I can drive an additional 50 - 100 miles depending on conditions when the guage reads E?

Also, after dumping my Civic which got ridiculously good gas mileage for my beautiful DSM, I would just like to say, "I would rather spend time at the pump with my DSM, then another minute in my Civic!"

well i must drive a freaking enzo...### i get 14mpg ifi granny my car..driving normally i get 11mpg...and to the tank im lucky if i see 150..and thats with soem highway driving..i dont get it i just recently changed my 02 sensor ..and im on a stock turbo..with such lil mods...ohh well..ill figure it out soon

Around town I average about 340 per tank, haven't figured up the MPG yet though. The last long trip I took I went 448 miles before filling up. It came out to about 35 MPG if I remember correctly. The car sees boost a fair amount also. This car is a HUGE improvement over my Nissan Xterra, which averages about 11 MPG.

Wow, Toyota Prius' are envious that you're getting 150mpg.

Ok ok.. he's already been harpooned enough for that.

Ground wire on downpipe needs to be attached for correct o2 grounding.
Remove some lead in the foot and drive her nicely if you want better economy.
Check your A/F's should be around 14.5-14.9 at idle and cruising around.

my dsm gets maybe 15 mpg if im "grandma'in it". if any body knows why that would be that low tell me unless thats a normal 4g63. i knew a guy that had a non-turbo 420a and that got outstanding gas mileage but thats a whole diff engine

Checking out your mod list, your "Exaust flame throwers" will def do that, i belive at least. To get the flames gas is used correct?

I'm averaging in at about 21mpg in town/mountain driving. My drive home I'm holding 5psi of boost for a good 1/4 of it. For me that's ruffly 250 mi/tank. I tend to fill up with 11-12 gallons when I'm on or near E.

With the cruise control on in highway driving I can hit 30 mpg. Love the wedge-shaped aerodynamics of 1g's and lighter weight (just can't miss a chance to rib the 2g's... )

Maybe it depends on the year of the car. I have a 95 tsi awd and I'm getting the exact same gas mileage as the other 95 awd turbos. About 210 a tank. I check it every time I fill up. I noticed that our gas gauges are crap. I would be around E, see the low fuel light come on, sometimes more than once, look back at the gauge and it will be up to a quater tank. So I zero out the odometer every time and use that. But the most I ever filled I think was 12.5 gallons. Average 17.5 to 18.5 mpg.

I wasnt trying to boast...im very thankful that i dont have problems. Im just saying since i did all the maintenance things before modding it gave me benefits like good gas mileage and good performance.

Sounds like you need some serious porting for that boost spike but I think the mileage boost makes sense. Engine doesn't have to work as hard to push the exhaust out of the car.
