what kind of gas mileage are you getting?

Hi, I'm just curious at what kind of MPG (miles per gallon) or how many miles you are getting per full tank?

please list mods and type of driving

I'm currently getting around 210-230 miles per full tank, i fill my tank with exactly 11 gallons of 92 octane. thats what 20 bucks buy in hawaii.

right now i have just an intake, 2.5 dp and 3in full piping catback

car is just used for transportation, once in a while i would just sample it a few times.

Is your fuel pressure fine? Also check your tune on the low end. That could help saving gas milage.

Im not trying to cause trouble, or call you out. But i think that your methods of calculating the mpg might be a little off. I doubt that when you fill up your tank that you have used all 15 gallons. Try this: fill the tank up, drive it until you have to fill it up again (using the trip meter inbetween fill ups) then when you fill it up again see how much gas you put in after the nozzle clicks and divide the miles by the gallons refilled in the tank on your second fill up. If this is what you were doing before than good for you, but a lot of people on here complain about shitty mileage and are doing their calculations wrong. 150 miles for 15gal is different than say 150 miles for 12 gal.
Just something to think about/check on.
I also suffer from horrible gas mileage (about 140 miles per 12 gal) but my o2 sensor just died so im suspecting that as the culprit, and im changing it tomorrow.

Hundreds of thousands of gallons of fuel are evaporated each year in America from people's leaky gas caps. Buy a new one.

How are you calculating this? When you come close to running out or what? The gas light comes on when there is 2.1 gallons left in the tank.

My idiot light comes on when there is 3 gallons left in the tank. Drive it until your light comes on, fill up and see exactly how many gallons are going in, reset tripmeter, and next time your idiot light goes on, check how many miles and divide by how many gallons of gas you last filled.

Just get a receipt when you fill up, I know at least Shell will tell you EXACTLY how much you put in, then do the math.

hey just wondering how your gas is on your dsm's. I notice mine isn't that bad but whenever the turbo kicks it guzzles but yay w.e its worth it!! anyways i want too know what your gas mileage on your dsm...i wouldn't say gas is bad on these cars but there not awesome either i guess depends how you drive it.

30 min drive equals about 1/8th of a tank, boost at 11 psi.

when driving normal i will get 300 maybe more km to the tank. When racing i can guzzle almost half a tank in 3 runs (16psi and running rich).

I've been getting about the same mileage on the past 2 tanks. My CEL is on, but Autozone reads it as "Secondary Emissions Control". I suspect an 02 sensor, but my logging tool hasn't come in yet, so I can't tell for sure. Is there another way to check the O2 sensor? My Chilton Manual says to use a special tool to splice into the O2 connection. Can't I just tap into the line somewhere and check it with a Voltmeter like a A/F Meter does? I'm going to try this today and see what happens. If there is another way, I'm all ears. I hope the guy that has my tool I ordered sent it already.

Actually the gas cap is considered an emissions item. If your gas cap is bad, it may be a cause for bad gas mileage. Its worth a shot to replace it.

your tune is probally off with the dsmlink. Do you have a wideband 02? if not try to borrow one and check. you probaly have to lean the thing out. I get 265 miles to a 11.2 gallon fill up in my car. I have aem ems, 255 pump , and 1000cc injectors. i drive moderate, sometimes boosting it here and there. check your air fuel ratio. good luck

ha-ha, do any of us know how much gas we use with a "good running dsm". I personally don't. The 1g tsi has been down for a while and before motor went i was getting like 15mpg normal driving with occasional spirit, but then it wasn't exactly running right.

my dsm gets maybe 15 mpg if im "grandma'in it". if any body knows why that would be that low tell me unless thats a normal 4g63. i knew a guy that had a non-turbo 420a and that got outstanding gas mileage but thats a whole diff engine

Dang I can't wait to get my DSM back on the road. Even if I only get 14 to the gallon it will still be the best mileage in my stable of cars. F250= 12mpg, Amigo=11, Bravada=13, and my eclipse(street car)=2 gallons in two years. Damn I have to quit buying 4WD and AWD vehicles.
