Added more Honda parts to the car in the hopes to make it faster.....LOL

Actually just a B-series IAC valve to have better idle. Made the remote mount adaptor and mounting bracket to bolt it up to existing holes on the firewall.

Got my Laser out of the garage, under its own power, for the first time this YEAR. Man, does that make me grin.

I installed a 10 bar oil pressure sensor and got it logging correctly in dsmlink. Then I changed the oil. Finally I removed the dash and replaced all the lights as some were blown and others were just dim.

Took it for a spin to get fresh E85 and it rewarded me by shutting off during a third gear pull. Like it shut off, as if someone removed the key from ignition. Damm these cars!

These cars are both my most hated and loved by far. I swear the mood swings.

Like dating a stripper. When it puts out it’s incredible but Jesus it’s a rough ride when she’s in a mood.

Took the passenger knuckle off in prep for doing the wheel bearings. Going to try to degrease them before tear down to save on some filth. Will go ahead and paint them up to make them look nice too.

Cut the J pipe a little shorter and heat taped the lower IC pipe. It's starting to come together. Bought a new t clamp and an actual coupler to fit the intake and the 68 without having to use the stock rubber ring on the compressor housing.

Hopefully today I can get the rear toe dialed in a bit better to prep it for the alignment shop, fill the driveline parts with fluids(heavy shockproof, MTL), and upper IC pipe. I have a lot of heat tape left so I might wrap the uicp as well.

This.

Clear corner lenses to replace the OEM ones. Looks so much bigger even if she is filthy.

Preach on! The new curse words that this car has made me create on the fly has been unbelievable... especially after a 5 minute job turns into 3 days. :D

1g we staple welded the broken sun visor plastic so I could re-mount the sun visor. The other day my buddy and I swapped out the driveline on the 1g. I greased the carrier bearings and used grease to soften the rubber on the bushings. The lobro joint is shot on my old driveline and I have been told this is no longer made/cant be fixed?

Anyone know a shop or place to send a 1g driveline awd to be rebuilt?

You -might- want to contact Rix Racing, one of our sponsoring vendors. (Link graphic at the bottom of this page.) I know he works on 1G drivelines, I don't know whether he can rebuild an existing Lobro.

Loosely tossed everything on so the fabricator can fab up some custom IC pipes that are better quality and will work around everything. The LICP is gonna take some miracle work. Also the a/c fan mounting points are straight idiocy. It’s spaced like 1/2-1” out. So it wouldn’t even work if you tried to keep a SMIC. Gonna have the fabricator cut the mounts off and weld on studs instead so the fan mounts flush.

Love the license plate bracket for your FPR.

Set off the car alarm while changing out the front rotors. LOL Apparently, the 2Gs have a tilt switch for the alarm -- who knew? Car was closed and locked so there didn't seem to be any point in opening it up since the rear wheels were chalked. Of course the keys were in the house so the neighbors got to enjoy the off-key honking for a full minute before it could be silenced.

Got a fresh block back from boring and decking.
Now to get time to assemble and UNASSEMBLE the old motor for its head assembly.

I have to recuperate from some slight injuries I incurred at the gocart races when I flipped my TaoTao. Its HEAVY but luckily I was strapped in with a 4 point harness and my helmet saved a nasty bump on the head. Could have been MUCH worse.
I will try to catch up Sean! :thumb:

Got the wheel bearings apart for the Talon. Used the wheel bearing tool from Harbor Freight. It's so convenient not to have to set up in a press.

I did have to go steal my cousin's bearing separator though to get the inner race off. If I had my own bearing separator I would have hadthem completely disassembled in under 10 minutes (excluding stopping at my friends shop to get a second set of hands to help get the snap ring out.)

Started cleaning up the grime then called it a night. Going to finish clean up and paint them up. If paint dries good enough I'll reassemble and get back on the car tomorrow so its a roller again.

I started replacing the transmission control solenoid… so far I’m still in the process of planning and learning what all it entails. I’m hitting several roadblocks with where it’s actually located. I’ve got alldata, Hayes manual, and several other things but it’s not giving an exact location.

What do you mean where it's actually located? If you have an auto 420a you should be able to see that solenoid right around where the trans dipstick tube is

@1999RSfwd , would that be internal or external on the transmission for his model? The turbo models are all on the inside is why I ask and I don't own any 420 cars to look at.
Thanks.
