Discovered my left rear coilspring is possibly broken, or just gave up the ghost. I was wondering why the Talon had a gangsta lean. Lol. Nothing looks bent or broken anywhere else so I guess coilovers got put higher on the priority list. Not gonna drive this thing with a broken spring.

Every time I see an empty bay I want to come clean the wiring up. Mitsu just threw wires everywhere
man, you're not kidding. I just bought this car a few weeks back with a spun rod bearing so this is my first time pulling this motor and getting a chance to look everything over.

Getting a FP manifold, and debating on getting the manifold blanket or the extreme psi heat shield. What one do you think works better? The blanket?

Installed a cheapo double din touch screen. Haven't had a radio in years due to an amperage draw on battery from interior lamps. Tracking that down to fix and be able to have music again

i would like to take my clutch pedal out and reinforce it . cause i had issues trying to put my trans in gear . found out that my ACT 2600 clutch caused my pedal to crack . already welded it but it needs to be reinforced . it started with the car not cranking over when i pushed the pedal down . so i unplugged the switch at the pedal to get it started but could not get it in gear . if anyone with a 2600 clutch has had issues like mine check your clutch pedal for a crack where the small hole is for the clutch master rod .

Cool... I just replaced my 12 year old Pioneer single din with a new one. I hated that all of their new double din radios have buttons or a touch screen for volume. I like having a dial.

My wife just bought a 23’ Telluride about 2 weeks ago. The entire radio and hvac controls are all through one big ass screen that lead from the gauge cluster to the passenger airbag area.

Needless to say I’m quite tired of cleaning greasy fingerprints off of the entire screen every couple days. Id love some knobs and switches LOL

I agree. Are we all just getting old? Lol That’s what I say to my wife quite frequently now…

Was trying to decide on natural or black... black won... always bet on black(although I liked them both)

I’d like to think not LOL. But next year I will be registering the gsx as an antique in PA. Car needs to 25 years old to qualify. So I guess then there’s that LOL.

Nah, cars are getting more retarded. I have a 15 year old niece and a 21 year old niece in law that LIVE for their phones and technology and even they prefer the edge and the talons controls. The 15 year old has a brain and even said “it makes it where I could adjust it while driving and not have to look away from the road!”

So no. Everyone’s trying to copy Tesla now which is gonna result in some hard lessons for everyone when that fad eventually dies.

For the thread:

Currently in the process of painting the cyclone. Gonna take days or a week to finish because I’m just starting now, but hopefully I’ll get it fully primed tonight and then after my long EMS week (5 12 hour days) I can finish painting it/detail it.

Looks GREAT!!! :thumb:

Got my fuel line holders in today. I reached out to @Kai Hefner with concerns regarding my smaller -6 ptfe lines and quickly responded and asked for my O.D of my lines. I test fitted a line and it couldn’t be a better fit. Thanks again Hef!

And yes my fat ass already ate a piece of the candy sent with them LOL

Gaskets are here so I can put the fresh head on the fresh motor!

How do you like that heat barrier gasket? Do you use OEM gaskets on either side or just run it by itself? Any issues with boost leaks?

When ive used in the past I use this gasket and copper spray. Havent had leaks.

I dont know that they do much but while im putting things back together...

Ive also taken dollar store cutting boards and cut them for throttle bodies before... i did that on this car because i needed the extra space for my piping to clear auto dipstick. That got a layer of rtv on both sides

Have been too busy to button up the little things left to get it running by I did just install the manifold blanket and swapped out the recirc fp pipe for a non circ pipe

Setting things up for this OG DEJIN SMIC pipe, and wondering why the BOV output is aimed toward the -back- of the car. Anyone have an idea on how the recirc pipe routing was intended in this situation?

(I'm thinking that a tapered air filter will help with fitment. I'm also realizing that the car's PO lobotomized the cruise control box, and mounted it way over here. Those will wait for another day. Thirdly, I'm wishing that somebody had NOT hacked that nice DEJON pipe.)
