Changed out breakin oil. It was nice and clear for breakin oil. Still ran ZZDP additive on this change, as we do have some thrust surfaces that would benefit from it, especially since its all new.
It takes longer to get my car into my shop, line up with the lift, lift the car, drain the oil and filter then get the car down, pull the lift arms back out and finally be done SO..... I do it the old fasion way..........slide under the car (I am small, not even using a jack, just the incline of my drive) and get er done!
15 minutes, maybe. :thumb:

I got a bellow pneumatic air jack off Amazon and it's the best toy I have. 5 seconds and then car is 16" up. You can't have those handles on though, otherwise its too high.

Now you have me looking at air jacks for my 20 ton press..........:aha:

Examining my stash of seats today. It leads me to a question: do we have a name for that nasty plum color that just screams "Faded 1G DSM"? I may be old and faded myself, but I don't want my car to look that way. It didn't look that way in 1990. :(

Went to rebuild my VR4 calipers and found out some calipers are different and have different seal sizes. 2 large pistons, 2 small pistons, and the seals I got only fit the smaller pistons.

Also finished sanding my Talon middle spoiler.

I believe I’ve seen them called “rainbow” before.

Nothing I want to post

Well I took the cover off of her and told her I loved her and smacked her on the ass and said it’s time. I’ve been remodeling my house I bought for the last 4 months and we are finally settled in and it’s time to go back to work and start making money and stop spending it.

I started getting my parts together for my e85 conversion I’m planning to do here soon. Plan to use bulkheads on the sending unit, evo 8 siphon, ptfe feed and return lines, walbro 450 with a 10 gauge wiring bulkhead to my rewire kit. Got the ethanol sensor and cable for ecm link too.

Didn’t scrub it too hard, just actually used soap this time and my pressure washer. Found a few water droplets on the drivers side seat so I guess I need to readdress the loose/hanging weatherstrip or something. Otherwise, super happy with how it turned out. Still gonna plan on a repaint though.

Man it feels good to be playing with the dsm again. Dirt bikes and dsm’s are what I’m about.

Anyways got my @gofer aero kit installed. I think it turned out very nice. Hopefully Corey approves of the install I did and I’m not making his product look bad LOL.

If anyone is considering buying one of his kits I’d recommend the product and Corey himself. He made sure everything was a smooth transaction and also pm’d me about my e85 conversion I was planning to do and answered my questions with knowledgeable responses and in timely manners. Thanks again!!

Before, during and after pictures below.

Kissed mine and said I was sorry.

Got my H-cross exhaust piping to make my dual exit exhaust. Got pretty far with it too.

Stared sadly at my calipers that are bereft of large pistons seals. (Seals FINALLY showed up with the correct sizes. 1993 VR4 calipers have 2 large 2 small pistons per side, so you NEED to get 93 seals, otherwise you run the risk of getting 4 small seals.)

Found out the rear motor mounts on Rockauto do not fit an AWD manual, they are too tall and the bolt pattern is too close together.

Worked on making the front motor mount bolt not terrible. Swapped it for a M14 and a bit of silicone tubing for a snug fit.

Removed the aero bits. No longer want this thing to look like a track-day aircraft.

Pulled my calf muscle playing tennis, so now I'm hobbling everywhere like a weakened King Viserys.

Got my cool shirt I found on Etsy.

I have no problem admitting that I suck at soldering. ive watched my friend who is a car audio tech do it a million times over the last 25 years.. .Ive done it myself when outside of the car... But when i do it on my own car, its a shitshow... Im done trying to do anything electrical and fully prepared to stay in my lane from now on. :)

Other than that, I got to take the car for a drive today.. Fixed the idle, got the new battery and tightened the starter wire so it starts every time now... Sit for an hour, it starts.... still getting that low rpm hot start problem, probably because of the fuel solenoid... But idle great on start up now.
