Loaded up the virgin block for a trip to the machine shop for decking and boring (and a few other things) to replace the motor I screwed up last week. TBH I hate boring this nice block but it has a spot that had rust that will not hone out. Dam!
Thank you Privitt Machine Shop!!!
I have to add that I LOVE my Toyota Camry Wagon. She's a trooper and YES those are a 1g and a 2g AWD trans in the back also! ;)

From an electrical point of view that screw/nut combination is called a "binding post", so if you're missing the black part, that's a "binding post nut". Google image search will maybe help. You're gonna want to know the diameter of the threaded post itself.

From an electrical perspective, your goal is to force the wire (or crimp connector) down against the flat metal surface of the binding post, so any nut the right size will do functionally. If you're after aesthetics, we can 3D print some for you in ASA plastic. (A type of styrene that does not degrade in sunlight, and can stand up to SOME heat.
Most likely not universal. The senders have an ohm range which in return tells the gauge what’s happening. If you know the ohm scale of the existing and replace with one of the same scale most likely it would work. I would also just figure out the thread pitch on the studs and nuts and get something at the hardware store.

I have a hole in the wall store local to me that stocks a pile of metric stuff. Has been my go to for years and so thankful to have them close to me.

Thanks to both of you!

Dang! That's insane!OMG - how big is the turning circle now?

Dropped off block and rods and discussed my needs for a fresh HP shortblock. I tried to do the math for my older machinist so he would understand and just let him keep the paperwork.
10:1's, 22mm pins. Even he hated to have to bore such a nice block.

Started prepping engine bay.

Just some progress pics from the tail end of my cleaning/timing belt etc project on my oem+ build. 55k original miles 1990 talon AWD. Not done by any means. 1st picture is where it all started. The valve cover changes in the pictures as I was figuring all that out. Settled on a shaved and powder coated cover. I’ll probably have the cam/timing cover cerakoted black to tie it all together. I’m trying to balance keeping it as stock as possible but fun. Put on a new oil pump, oil pan, cam seals, fluidampr, 68hta v3, evo 3 exhaust manifold, ported the o2 housing and did a gasket match, added an evo 8 maf and designed a stock looking “can” cover for the filter in cad and 3d printed it in carbon fiber nylon (should be in the last pic). Might attempt to modify the 1g can if possible but I'm happy with the part I designed for now. Did a lot of research and was able to figure out/reverse engineer the old Dejon tool stop leak kit for the 1g bov from pictures alone and virtually no available information and luckily was able to buy all the necessary items to recreate one (for that stock appearance). If anyone needs info, just pm me on that. Working on replacing all the stock rubber intercooler hoses with silicone. Using joiners and gates power grip shrink fittings for a clean look. Going to add a wastegate activated exhaust cutout to the stock downpipe (again to retain the factory look and exhaust). Sending some items off to get bead blasted and powder coated tomorrow and working on replacing the engine mounts. Resealing the transfer case, degreasing and doing a walnut blast to the outside here soon as well. Also rebuilt the power steering pump.

That Camry is cool 👌

It grows on ya!
My UPS man calls it the "Panty Dropper" and says I need a cool set of wheels and tint the windows, ROFL
Its a very handy car to have and comfortable.........and cost me $300

Trying to replace unobtanium. This door window runchannel ( MB590682 ) suffered when I pulled it out. There used to be six spikes holding it to the door frame, and the barbs were a “work once” shape. Trying to make replacement spikes that can be epoxied on. Gonna take some persistence.

Why did you paint the rubber parts? OMG OMG

Finally able to walk without crutches so I've been limping around trying to get caught up.

Finished installing the seals on my VR4 calipers, then reinstalled them. (1g 1993 calipers need 1993 seals due to 2 different size pistons. 91-92 AFAIK have same size pistons.)

Pressed in fresh motor mount for the Driver side, also cleaned up and repainted the rear mount (Rockauto sells the wrong one for GSX's.)

Sprayed my LH reverse lense in prep to make it a rear fog light.

Talked to the guy at the machine shop, my engine is getting worked on next week =) so hopefully I'll have the car going before the end of May 😊

Did heckin yardwork, then cracked open a Bravus and played SWTOR.

Wired up fuel pressure gague to wire removed rear trim for now, hooked up fuel pump to relay.
Installed a fender, hooke up flexfuel sensor. dip stick tube put in., Sat and admired all the hard work and years, and money into it. Realized its coming along my interpreation of a 90s classic.

Dam Jeremy.......ME TOO!!!!

You wouldn't want to critique my rear calipers either. I like the brush on style caliper paint made my DupliColor. It goes a LONG way. I probably have a couple drops on the rotor and some on my pads. Shame on me!

I'm on "standby" while the machine shop is seeing if he can get the pistons I want, that way he has them in his hands to make sure all is good.
