Yeah mine got really messed up. Broke all 8 exhaust valves as strange as that sounds. Needed a 1g 7bolt head or port matched to a 1g intake exhaust ported 2g head. Deric helped me realize I could just get a 1g 7bolt. Needs a set of valves though.

Heater core flush. IT WORKED. The amount of stuff that came out was insane. Used a kit that uses compressed air and water. Just fyi, a basic hose repair male fitting fits 1g heater core hoses perfectly to easily hook up a drain line. The flush kit was from Amazon. Heat was inoperable when I purchased the car, flows perfectly now. Looks like I’ll avoid the dreaded dash removal for now. Cleaned up the transfer case and replaced the seals as well.

Also swapped out the leather wrapped steering wheel (had typical wear) for a perfect condition steering wheel. Might have the stock one rewrapped at some point but I really do prefer this style wheel for longevity.

Excellent! Could you give us a pointer to that Amazon item?
Edit (link is being weird, so this is the name if it’s not working): Lisle 60800 Heater Core Backflush Tool with Air

Here’s the link. I hooked the flush tool up to the “out” line on the heater core and hooked the drain line (just a standard garden hose male filling with the clamp that’s already on the heater core hose). I chose to backfush it as I thought it made the most sense. I had the garden hose turned on about half way with good flow. Compressor was set to 60ish psi. I filled probably close to five or six full buckets (5gal) of water during the flush. The tool comes with the button so that you can add quick blast of air when you want. I started out by letting the heater core fill up and would add a couple quick blasts of air. Water was brown for the first 2-3 buckets and had LOTS of sediment. The water did not initially free flow which confirmed the issue. I basically kept repeating the fill w/quick air blasts until the water was clear and free flowing. I also periodically checked the inside of the vehicle to make sure it wasn’t leaking. I also reversed the direction of the water flow at the end just to make sure that it was free flowing both ways (in the in and out the out). Which also worked but it didn’t remove anything extra.

Love the "Vader Hat"!!!!
Yes! It actually came in a box of spare parts with the car. I couldn’t believe it….that’s actually what made me want to keep/modify the stock bov just to use it. I just had to track down a 1g bov (car had some cheap greddy knock off installed).

That is exacly what happened to me this weekend! I found it in a parts box with the hat on it!!!

Love the picture. Join the Dark Side Luke! ROFL
I was super surprised to find mine too. Put it up on a shelf so I could see it and find it again.

Started detailing the engine bay in small sections. Need to go get some color match paint for some paint chips under the hood.
These coilovers came in the trunk of my car, debating if it's worth installing. Anyone know anything about them? Never heard of AGX.

I’m curious about those springs- I don’t see any name on them and I’m not sure why they are mismatched in color. Do you see any other markings in the actual springs?

Back in the day, some Eibach springs on those KYB AGX struts was a great setup to have.

The orange ones say Ksport. Unsure what the blue ones are.

My 99 needs to pass its last state inspection. Ive been daily driving it for 3 months and still had 5 monitors not ready.

Had to learn a little ecu flash

Was doing the same thing yesterday except in ECMLink. Have to trick the monitors into "Ready" because of emissions coming up next month. Luckily we are allowed 2 to be "Incomplete". But also found out that Im going to have to rebuild this throttlebody because of an internal leak...so gonna have to disconnect the battery and do it over again.

Harvested the roof out of my '90 Eclipse. Looking forward to grafting it into the Project car someday - a step in recreating what I once had. I'm now realizing that just grafting the outer skin will be sufficient, and less damaging to the structural integrity of the overall vehicle. It's amazing how much one learns by cutting one of these cars apart.

Oh, and another roll of blue vinyl arrived yesterday. The excitement -and- the warm nostalgia are both increasing.
