My troll was still successful. I had a PTE, sans failure, on a DD. :)

Was driving home and let the car idle, heard like something fell apart in the head, checked it out, ended up being my valve cover baffle having a cuple pieces break off and luckily nothing was thrashed so I think I dodged a big bullet thank god.

Picked up this donor/parts rebuilt title GST from a street racer kid last night for $1100. Drove it for about an hour without any issues except for idle surge and no 2nd gear. Today I started clearing out the other side of the garage and further inspected the GST. Typical street racer build with 13T Turbo, CX aluminum radiator, unknown FMIC, no name BOV (not recirculated), made in mexico coilovers /w eibach springs, crappy gauges, K&N intake filter, 3in catback, and 3 coats of peeling paint. Came with some extra intercooler piping, new basic brake pads, and an extra no name BOV. The GSX is still looking pretty on jack stands waiting for a new oil pan in the mail.

Bought a stubby OEM oil filter and drain plug gasket for it. Crazy to think you can get OEM oil filters for $7 from the stealership. 5000km oil change this weekend. woo. cough.

I got the magnus because i was spending more on filters then i would buying a reusable. I change oil every 750 miles or 1200km I'm at 12k miles of hard abuse daily and 7k rpm daily in every gear but 5th and just ran a 132 trap and my head still looks like the first day i put oil in it after it was machined. :)

At 750 miles, your oil is reusable too...

Changing oil that often is pointless, regardless of use.
