Finally cut the massive fart can off my Talon. I now have nothing but 3" pipe. :sneaky:

Went over to the pops house. Double checked my fuel pressure with my new gauge on the afpr, recalibrated my wideband, turned the boost up to 17psi, spent an hour logging and tuning. Afr 14.5-14.9 cruising, 10.9-11.2 wot.

One happy camper :)

I did notice when I'd let off and drop it down to idle from in boost she went down and almost wanted to die, afr went to 10's idle like 400... *checked my recirc, wasn't loose or leaking, anything else to check? Is that vac related?

I would have made a vband muffler! So if you want ut quiet you can.

That wouldn't be a bad idea, but I just have a cheap old MIG and my skills are mediocre at best. It's really not that loud to me though, so I doubt I'd even use the muffler.

Video or it didnt happen.

The rev was the best part..I like it alot.

It sounds even better in action too. It's mean as hell when boost hits and it doesn't get all whiney or sound messy at high RPM like most 4-bangers. It has a throaty exhaust note when cruising (kind of like a Scooby) and you can constantly hear the Holset whistling away. Love it.

Maybe I'll take some driving videos later and post them up.

Very nice wes. Love that spool down from that h1e! Cannot wait to get mine back together. Got my exhaust ports polished to a glass smooth finish, and starting on my hx35 comp cover

Today, the car is getting,
Center console installed,
Oil pressure wires(from harness) installed,
New home made banjo bolt for turbo feed put in,
Beautiful synthetic put in,
valve cover gasket put on,
some vac lines put on. As soon as I find out where the hell they go.

It will be close to its first start with the new motor. Yayy!

Pulled it out of the garage for the first time since a major overhaul that started in July '12.

Sadly, it will not blend. However, it will CarPC w/ HUD EvoScan Gauges and 3" turbo-back. If you act now, we'll throw in 22 boosts for free, all you do is pay shipping, handling is already covered.

Found I have no traction in 1st, 2nd above 3.5k, or 3rd about 4.5k on this 14b which is somewhere in the neighborhood of 12-14lbs via mbc. That should only put me just north of 200bhp...

Methinks I need new rear springs... but over 600km on the motor and it's solid. Hasn't grenaded yet!

Got my old engine out. Just waiting for cash flow to finish up this build. Urban, how are you doing your oil drain? I'm holding off on the oil pan til I figure it out. Its a n/t pan, so I need to drill a hole and weld a fitting to it
