I had purchased a Walbro "255lph" fuel pump w/ "install kit" from thedsmgraveyard...now i put the parenthesis because i received a fuel pump BUT the numbers on the side of the pump are GSS342 the EXACT same as the pump i pulled out and no "install kit" was sent but i can install the pump with the current connector on pump housing...i had replaced the fuel pump years ago but i could swear i replaced with and OEM at the time and i didnt modify anything with the housing or wiring...and light on my little situation would be appreciated

Seriously people need to read the vender feedback section before bjying from anyone. Especially dsmgraveyard. That is not the numbers for a walbro 255. Like you said same numbers as your oem pump because thats what it is.

Tell him you want your money back, send the pump back, and go buy from Jays racing or a different more honest vendor.

Don't buy from dsmgraveyard. I tired of seeing threads about people not getting what they paid for from them.

Holly shit, i was this close to dumping money into them. I'll admit i don't read the reviews or ratings on the venders here. I have had nothing but love from members in the classifieds, guess im not carrying that to the vendors with out a little home work.

Deffinately READ the vendor section before buying from a vendor. I have seen quite a few threads on them not delivering the correct product or quality of product. And last I read their review section the only guy that was happy with them was the guy that never bought anything.

Or GSS341.

FWIW - The only difference in the 341 and 342 is which side the outlet is on.

OP - Looks to me like you originally replaced it with a Wally 255.

Wellat least it wasnt the number on my 255 sorry.
Its,been awhile since I installed mine. Apologize for, the misinfo. But as, for vendors I still strongly recommend reading the review sections

Ok thanks for the help...the install kit is the only other thing throwing me off because i can install this new 342 with the factory connector and an o-ring in the outlet neck?? As for the vendor reviews i apparently NEED to seriously start reading those thanks for that tip before i have headaches in the future

You guys jump on a vender for selling the op a 255 FP when thats what he ordered?

Actually, I think they jumped on them because of this (along with some misinformation that has now been corrected):

I had purchased a Walbro "255lph" fuel pump w/ "install kit" ... and no "install kit" was sent

You guys are idiots. A little search would have found that thats a 255

Idiots huh? The OP got the right pump, but no install kit.

This particular vendor, whom I've done business with in good faith a few times only to be burned each time, has a track record of let downs, deception and mistakes.

In 2009 I did over $2k in business with them before any real reviews (Only 1 review on her in 2008 and none for 2009 which was before I signed up on DSM Tuners) and consensus had been made, which I now deeply regret.

During that year I spent a lot of time on the phone with Jon and Branden as well as everyone else that quit or was let go. The criticisms leveled are justified.

Thanks...all i needed to know was that the pump is indeed a 255 because although no install kit was ever sent like i said i can still install it with the connector on my housing and an o-ring so thats what will be done...thank you guys for the help i believe i got what i was looking for in addition to some criticism
