When I start my car my pump has a little low pitch wine to it. That was expected. After about ten minutes of driving it is a high pitch screaming. I read it would be loud, but the progression from what seems normal loud to it sounding like its going to explode is concerning. For those who have this pump is this normal?

Although I am not sure what your problem is, I can assure you, all the 255 I've heard do not sound like that. The only similarities is that they whine a little on startup and whine a little while running. But nothing like it might explode.
I know its a pain, but I'd double check your install and make sure your fuel pressure is set correctly.
Did you use a new pre-pump filter? It almost sounds like the pump isn't able to keep up with the demand or over-pumping.

The car will suddenly start vibrating really hard when driving or get a really rough idle. Usually it goes away after a few seconds but earlier this evening it started and won't stop. You can hear the exhaust pulsing and it smells very rich. My air/fuel gauge generic will act completely different as well. The lights fan out and move very erratically back and forth from rich to lean staying on the lean side more often. The gauge on the fpr reads 34 at idle but I don't know if it is running proper pressure while driving. Point is fuel pump is the last mod performed, about a week ago and the combination of the car running poorly and the fuel pump sounding strange makes me wonder.

pulled pump, there was a brownish red gunk clogging about 90 percent of the pre-filter WTF dont know where it came from but there is no evidence that it was there on the old pump, installed new one filled up with gas and then I have pump problems, very curious.
