Vtrim turbo took a shit

i got 9.5:1 compression n my 4g63:sneaky: )

Damn, thats a high compression ratio. Why did you choose to have your compression ratio so high? I would of run a lower compression ratio. It would of made your off boost response not so great but you probably would of been able to run a lot more boost on your setup.

Well Bullseye turbos suck, Ive only put about 1000 miles on my vtrim and it took a shit on me already. The performance shop called me and told me its got really bad shaft play. it touches the side walls.

so now my question is what turbo to put on there.
my block will consist of (head)-264-272 camshafts, unorthodox camgears, greddy timing belt, (block)-oh yeah the block is a 6 bolt ,arias pistons, eagle hbeam rods, mitsubishi metal hg, balance shaft removal, arp hardware.
act 2100 clutch kit w/ fidanza flywheel
my fuel system is 650cc injectors, 190pump,
I have a safc II with palm pilot with packetlogger software.

Now what turbo would be good for my setup, this is a fwd, I want to run around 20psi and they will tune it around 300hp. probably more.
I would like to go with a evo III big 16g and the guy said that would be downsizing, but I have heard nothing but good things about that turbo.

Can someone give me some advice.
thanks

Yep, the turbo sucks, don't look any further than there. There is no way that the oil line got clogged, you didn't change your oil enough, some foreign object was ingested into the turbo. Simply Bullseye turbos suck... You really shouldn't be doing the car thing because you don't understand anything about modded cars. The most important thing I know is that SH*T happens. Even the best parts fail and often it isn't the parts fault, so you ought to look into why the part failed and maybe something will turn up. It is the exception not the rule that it is a defect.... especially if it comes from a reputable vendor selling a quality product.:toobad:

First off I doubt he "chose" it as if you look at his vehicle profile, it's a Non turbo car, with a turbo. The Non turbo cars have higher compression ratios as they were originally NA. To change the compression ratio would mean he would have to buy new pistons, rings, headgasket etc, which is probably not something he wants to do.

And if in doubt, look at where you are on the compressors efficiency map. It's not that hard to tell pressure ratio and airflow and see where on the map you are. (as long as you have some type of logger in use)

Yup, your probably right. My bad, forgot to check that.
