Thats fine..People will believe what they want to. It dont bother me. The timing was right ..Silver Dollar Raceway just had the Lucas Oil Nationals with over 300 cars there last weekend and the scoring system was calibrated then.
The 1/4 time was high for the ET, 60ft and 1/8- I believe, because I was only running 20lbs of boost on that pass and it just flatened out on topend..
Maybe we can do it again this coming Friday Night--Well see.
 
Would you please fill us in on what tires you are running??

Ive had a lot of experience with suspension and tires on these cars. Ive vut my fair share of 1.3 60' times. Its not something you can just do on drag radials let alone street tires. It took a lot just to consistanly cut mid to low 1.5s on drag radials with a hard launching 16g car. From what ive done 1.3s where on a well done suspension.

You cant really call us haters and cry about being called on when most of us have had a lot of real world experience on this. A one time slip shows more of an error somewhere. Go out and back that up before making claims like this. I know the slip says its a 1.3 but that doesnt make it right. We had a 16 sec RX7 run at an NHRA calibrated track come back with a 9.9 slip. It happens.

And after more comparisons 1.6 60', 11.6 1/4 mile and 7.3 is more in line with your mph.

So what were the other 60' times?

If he goes back out and nails another 1.3x even if it is 1.39999999 that backs it up no question.

If the next best this car will do is ~1.5x and it stays in that neighborhood, that pretty much tells us what happened.

And yes, everyone asks these things. Look at threads where people post up a timeslip, everyone wants to know what was involved down to the nuts and bolts to build our knowledge base. You nor him are not on some unassailable plane of existence. Also, how many records require a back to back for verification.

Drag Racing does, Land Speed does as well. Timing error is not uncommon, especially this time of year. Just because it was a big event doesn't mean that there wasn't at least one fluke. In fact with more events the statistical likelihood of error increases.

Doesn't mean it has to occur every run, or even often.

This line of logic you've shown here, much like what we discussed in your cam thread, is somewhat lacking. All I did was pry a bit and you got super-sensitive. Methodology is not your strong point, I see.

If this car is cutting 1.3s on street tires, I will be the first person to applaud because that is exciting and tells me there is much to be learned yet and then the real questions will start rolling in.

That track is the definition of in the middle of efing nowhere :p
Went there for a turbo buick rental about five years ago..I passed nothing but fields for hours....
Defiantly a big time track...Congrats on the time..:thumb:
 
Here's one thing I don't get. Lets say the 1.3 is legit. Why would he give away his secrets?

Here's my thought process. If he said the first run was the best that would make sense to me. If a big event was in town the week before the track is still going to be real sticky. I can tell the nights they've had recent events locally at US131 Dragway. Heck even at shootout the track seemed to be prepped the best early and late in the day. At shootout I saw some prep with the sprayers where none of it hit track because of the wind and the fact that the track worker wasn't paying attention/doing a good job. I've had track prep make .25 difference for me.

With that being said, with perfect circumstances and maybe even a little error I can see something like this happen. Everyone has that one story or pull where everything lines up and you can't repeat that performance for awhile or ever again.

245s on what looks to be Evo 9 wheels correct? Super short sidewalls and dragstrip launches don't mix.
 
Timing error is what I was getting at with my first post... Not hating or bashing but its hard to argue with physics. Timing error happen quite often and a lot of the time its from debris crossing the beam. I've seen timeslips on windy days that has a et of 3.x at 15mph. Doesn't mean its legit just because its on the slip. Same scenario with forcedpowers .9 60'... If that car usually 60' say 1.6's and then randomly pulls a low 1.3 60' its common sense to realize its a timing error.

Just watched the video, and it looked like the car pulled through the beams. It looked to me like it moved 2 feet before the green hit, and no red light. I would say equipment malfunction. sorry.
 
No one is hating. It's pretty obvious it's a timing error. Gary Andriotis recently got a slip back with a .9s 60'....sure as hell didn't happen in reality. Timing errors happen. A 1.31 on full slicks w/ a gutted car is amazing...a 1.31 on street tires w/ a heavy car just isn't happening.
 
Didn't the cdub guys have a slip error that was pretty ridiculus?

By the way the NHRA rules for backing up a record, are you need at least one more pass within 1% of the good one, and it has to be the same day. So considering they had nothing else even close, it didn't happen. Happy Clocks, as they say.
