Awesome time man! What I'm interested in is how you went that time with that low a trap speed. Must be the slicks! Good thing I got a set of those at my disposal now! I ask because my personal best time is 11.6 @ 128mph that is with a 2.3 stroker, E85, and jounal bearing GT35 on 25lbs of boost, stock cams, intake manifold, ect. However was on 215/45/17 street tires with 40lbs of air in them. Again, awesome times man, and you deff have a sick car there!

The wheels and tires helped alot, I lost atleast 70 lbs of rotational mass just by switching from stock swirlies and street tires. And of coures I don't think I would have managed the 60' on street trim. But most importantly, I've been getting more seat time. Practice, practice, practice.

You don't have to shift into 5th, do you????

No, but damn near. On the log I saw 7890 max RPM in 4th with the limiter set at 8000! Almost out of gear and far beyond the cars powerband at that point with the stock cams. But I figure not shifting that extra time results in a better ET than if I did go into 5th. I'm going to try to make it to the track one more time this year and this time with my co workers 26x9.5x15 Hoosier QTP's and a 50 shot of the juice and try to squeeze out a 10 second pass with the stock head and no cage! The 11.6 was only the cars second pass down the track with this set up and in over 100 degree weather at 5000ft altitude. So I'm sure with the temps cooling down a bit and the traction problems solved it shouldn't be too hard. Never know though! Congrats again on the awesome times man, gives me hope!

Are you sure about that? When I take my AWD to just 7k in 4th im at 125mph.
7900rpms sound like youd be above 130mph.Idk, but maybe the rpm peak on that log you were looking at was because you were still in the gas after you've already passed the traps? People with the power to rev out 4th gear in the 1/4, I didnt think they were using 5th until they were fast enough to go above 130mph traps
Im sure some ppl have no problem riding out 4th if their power band keeps going in the 8k + range. Just curious thats all.

Thats a very good possibility. I try to stay it in long enough after I go threw the traps so that I know that I'm not getting it out of it too soon. Had that run been on full boost it probably would have gone over 130, but who knows. I'm sure that thats what it went to though, was able to look at it on the DSMlink log of the run. My car is still on factory valve train, ie valve springs, retainers, ect. And I am not really comfortable taking it much higher than 8k. I do know plenty of people that are reving much higher than that with there cars with properly built heads, but I see no reason to at this point.

Damn seeing this car makes me want to buy another AWD and do a 50 trim and nitous car. It's a shame the 14b car is almost done in FWD.

There is no shame in building a FWD car. My co worker is building a FWD Mirage that will be much faster than my car when its done! You have to look at the upsides though. Lighter weight and able to use bigger slicks and do a burnout! Dont loose hope. My car is a BUDGET build and maybe has $3000 into it including the car! Anything is possible man! Thank you though.
