Ive looked at a hundred of threads but everyone has problem with tunings, but im having a problem with getting it hooked up to my laptop in the first place! please help! i have V2 dsmlink with 3.5 GM MAF conversion and MAF translator. I took pictures so you could tell why im getting confused or if i need an adapter to go to the grey wire to go into my laptop? Any help is very appreciated! i bought the car with v2 dsmlink already installed and i now have an evo 3 16g with 650cc injectors and UEGO Wideband and Tru Boost.

I assume your laptop doesn't have a DB-9 serial port and you need a USB serial adapter.
The Keyspan USA19-HS is known to work correctly with the non-stardard speed that a 1G ECU uses.

Google Keyspan USA19-HS.

That looks like something that would work. So I jus plug the grey wire into that and than the usb into the laptop and open up ecmlink an start tuning? What about that translator box? Do I need to even worry about that.? Thanks !

I don't have any experience with the MAF Translator WRT connecting it to your computer. I can't say it's been an issue in the past. (Most people don't ask and questions about it, either because they don't connect to it or don't have the enhanced version)

If you don't have the manual for it go to their site and download one. I'm expecting that you would just need the correct flavor of serial cable to run from it to the Keyspan and their software.
