DSMLink V2 Driver

I just got DSMLink and I want to put it in but i can't get the cable to connect to my laptop. I know my DB9 cable works same with the OBD II adapter but it doesn't connect to my laptop. It doesn't pop up in the device manager. I don't have a CD because I bought it from a 3rd party. Is there any special place I have to look to find it or is something broken? And I cannot install a driver for it without finding it.

Is this the proper ECMLink cable? Why did you go with v2? V3 lite is pretty cheap.

It's the right cable and I went with V2 because I got the EPROM and cable for a good price. Any thoughts on why it wouldn't connect to my laptop?

A good price hopefully is $200 or under for the pair. Make sure to keep a laptop with you as anytime you loose power you need to retune.

Is the cable new or old and you verified you diagnostic port is receiving proper voltage?

The cable looks kind of old. I haven't connected it to the car yet just trying to connect it to laptop.
