Hey guys im knew to this forum ive searched several topics with no results. when i connect my windows 7 computer to the 95 gsx i get trying to connect and then seropenport failed: Port not valid ...... Im new to this software and open for any advice.. Also i dont have the cd i downloaded sotware off the ecm tuning due to I bought the cr with dsm link already on it.

I had the same issue when I bought my ECM Link. I had to assign the communication port 3 on my computer to be open. After that I was able to get link to communicate with my laptop. I couldn't tell you off the top of my head where I found the setting on my laptop for the option to do as so. Or it could just be the cable is bad, but try searching around in your laptop. When I get a chance I'll try an remind myself how I got it to work and let you know how I did it.
